Oprah 2020

Postby ShiftyMutt » Wed Mar 01, 2017 10:45 am

No, really ..

Intelligent, empathetic, stable, measured, poised, wealthy, a real self-made success. I think she could win, hands down.

Winfrey says before Trump's election she thought that she didn't have the necessary government experience to run the country but now she thinks differently.

I mean who's going to mess with Oprah?

She'd be an improvement. But... then... so would most anybody.

On the minus side -- her weight seems to swing a hundred pounds every few months. Personally I'd prefer someone who displays a little more discipline, willpower and self-control.

In her field she is very successful. Movies, TV, magazine and now as a religious leader. The woman is know to work very hard and at 63 she's 15 years younger then any other democrat leading in that party.

I knew someone (especially a guy) would bring up her weight.
Oprah has a thyroid condition, it makes a difference in the ability to gain or lose weight. First, understand.

Besides her unimportant weight issues, why not?

By the way.. I didn't know she's taking on a religious leader role, that's news to me. But that would get her not just women and black votes but the evangelical vote.. big chunk of the country.

The more I think about it ..

No problem. Trump is hardly what one could consider svelte.
They told me if I voted for Hillary Clinton the president would be emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable. They were right. I voted for Hillary Clinton and got a president that is emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable.

As far as I know, neither Chris Christie nor Donald Trump as ballooned up numerous times.

They ballooned up once and stayed there.

Oprah’s new ‘Belief’ series shows how dramatically the nature of faith is shifting.

The show reveals how religion itself is shifting, how we are living through a period of intense spiritual democratization. In all the world’s religions, older forms of remote and hierarchical authority — not to mention the very idea of a distant and monarch-like God — are being challenged by ordinary people as they pray, worship, walk pilgrimages and seek the divine in nature and neighborhoods.

Go on youtube and see some of her shows on this. I think she will be starting her own Christian light church.

I would support her against Trump.

Trump has created the perfect platform for someone like her to redeem our integrity and dignity on the world stage. Surrounded by the right people she could bring together what has been fractured here and abroad. This world needs a healer.
Yeah, I know it's not likely but wow, the buzz about the possibility sure has people excited. That might be all it takes to make it happen.

It certainly was a rousing speech.

I think Oprah is probably too smart to run for President.

It would be a huge improvement over what we have now--especially in terms of character and temperament.

I kept thinking of her when the toady Stephen Miller was on CNN and kept repeating how Trump was "self made." Oprah is self made.

Regarding “too smart to run for President”..
This may be true for any other normal time, but we are in such abnormal times that it would make sense for her.
At a time when misogyny and perceived white supremacy has gained power under Trump it would be poetic justice that she mop the floor with him.

LOL! Shifty mutt. Good Luck! By this February, everybody will have more of their own money in their wallet. Millions less on food stamps, and she works with all the hypocrites in hollywood. I cant think of a worse swamp than the DNC than hollywood. Shows how easily duped you are.
