What can people tell me about this upcoming Servite team? How are they gonna look?

Way too early to tell, in today's transfer culture. Guys you are counting on may leave, and guys may show up that you weren't expecting.

Eight starters back on offense, six back on defense. But they had just as many back last year and disappointed. Need a kicker. Small on the O line except for LaCilento the center. Exciting QB replacing Tyler Lytle who graduated. Solid running back and great WRs and TE.

Defense is inexperienced on DL except for Bueras, and uncertain who will play at LBs, but the DBs are great.

All that could change between now and August. The coaching staff needs to do better than they did last year.

Major changes amongst the coaching staff. That will come out soon.
Some interest in kids coming into the school.
Many of our playing are "getting contacted" by other schools because of the 7on7 scene.

I believe it will be Ryan McMahon's brother Tyler.

I hear that Ryan Hilinski, current QB at Orange Lutheran might transfer over. Could be a nice pickup for the Friars and save them from another tough season.

That would be an interesting situation. Very similar to 2015 when we had Tyler Lytle (pro style QB) and Aaron Simpson (dual threat QB.) That would be sweet!

You think Hilinski would really transfer to Servite?

From what my "inside sources" at Servite tell me, this sounds like blatant recruiting and free tuition at work. (If we can throw innuendos at one school, we can throw them at all of them.)

SoCalFball... that's what I've heard. He's got the job at OLu but I don't think they have the guys this year to be a good team. From knowing the kid, he wants to win and I'm not sure OLu can come through with that this year.

I have no idea, but it does present some interesting possibilities. If Hilinski (class of 2019) does come over, and stays both years, he would be joining a very talented class of 2019 including these four who were mentioned by Dan Albano in his article about "Young talent at Servite racking up offers."

Soph WR Kyle Ford 6'3" 190,
Soph TE Ethan Rae 6'3" 240,
Soph DB KJ Trujillo 6'1" 165, and
Soph TE/OLB Spencer Lytle 6'3" 190.

Add in:
Soph DB Trent McDuffie who ran a Hilinski pass back 99 yards for a TD last year,
Soph T Richard Krebs 6'2" 235 who started a few games last year at LG,
Soph RB/LB William Dean 6'1" 200 who had 4.3 yds/carry and 4 TDs last year as #2 RB,
Soph TE/OLB Cade Fuller 6'3" 186 who saw a lot of minutes on Defense last year,
Soph T/DE Kyle Riviere 6'4" 240
Soph C/G Salvador Apodaca 5'10" 260
Soph QB Caden Bell 6'0" 180

Hillinski is a kid who could bounce. Jserra, Olu, Servite, the full circle of the Trinity.
Who has more talent and the best opportunity to win that 3rd spot in the Trinity?
Servite or Olu? I'm guessing Servite. Coach Myers is due. Look for Servite to make noise!

Servite's had plenty of really good skill players and linebackers over the last five years. The game is still won in the trenches, and they haven't had the beef up front since 2011.

What the hell happened to Nappy? I am quite sure with his inside info of HSFB and how it works he would definitely know what's the scoop at the Transfer Inn on La Palma. Who has been offered free tuition and who has not, we need his insight and spy operatives. Nappy answer the call.

Despite all of the Talent Word on La Palma Avenue is that they want out of the Trinity league and are looking to be entered into a public school league. Why would Meyer want that with all of his talent?

That's interesting if true. Word is floating around for awhile that money is tight over there,
maybe false news?

Reading the other message board it looks like Servite is getting 4 offensively coaches from CC. Servite offense should be a lot better then last year with the addition of them.

CredoFriar called it. Rumor is that the Bass brothers - CC's RBs and Strength coaches, Jeremy Smith - CC's Asst. O line coach, Frank Kalil, and possibly one other, are coming to Servite.

It sounds like The Men in Black are going to make a run at SJB's and CC's 24 transfer record. This is going to get good. There will be the accusations of free tuition and pay for play athletes and the usual denials. Money from the wealthy alumni will flowing in and into the hands of the players and fathers. Free room and board at a local apartment complex by a relative of the coach. All this and more as The Transfer Inn at La Palma roars to new heights in a attempt to compete. This should keep this Board going for awhile.
