Can anyone imagine the effect on LAX? On freeway traffic?
I don't have to imagine it, I was living in Manhattan Beach in '84 and we were all pleasantly surprised that traffic was way
down from usual levels thanks to advance planning...and this time they have the Metro Train lines to work off of, tooAnd remember vividly standing with the crowd on Dover Dr. NP when the torch runner went by before the lighting ceremony in LA. Good times
The torch route went north up Highland Ave. in El Porto (North MB) right below
the 2nd floor apartment where I lived...we had a torch party on my balcony overlooking the raucous flag-waving crowds below as we all cheered on the old geezer carrying the torch on our section of the route...dude could barely hold up the torch as he jogged by but he had a huge ear-to-ear grin the whole way down the street...

How stupid is our country?
