2018 playoff site

Postby watchersince68 » Mon Dec 18, 2017 5:01 pm

Cerritos College will serve as the main host site for five upper-division CIF State championship football games, including the Open Division game, in 2018 and 2019 and has an option for 2020, CIF State executive director Roger Blake announced Friday.

The five games held at Cerritos will be Open Division, Division 1-AA and 1-A and Division 2-AA and 2-A. Those five games have been played at Sacramento State since 2015. Before that, the championship games were held at Stub Hub (2006 to 2014).

The CIF State said the deal is “pending approval of the appropriate agencies.”

Geez why can't they get this right. Cerritos maybe too small. If not StubHub or the new lLa Soccer stadium downtown how about East LA College? Is there something wrong with that place I never hear it mentioned despite its bigger size.

Cerritos College is definitely not too small.

Biggest problem I have with Cerritos is that it is a pain in the ass to get into when they charge for parking as it causes massive gridlock on Alondra. Servite was lucky that they decided to still allow free parking for their home games.

If they want to charge for parking-----that's OK but GET ENOUGH people to work so there are more
entrances to the parking lot=====That was a MESS=====for the CIF Championship game====it took us
almost as long after we got off the freeway to enter the stadium as it did to get there-----POOR PLANNING
and CHEAP SKATES that didn't want to hire more people to work the event-----

I have.....I didn't drive and it was a few years back but I know that the parking was not bad and certainly
not the mess that it was at Cerritos. It is certainly large enough to handle the crowd.

East LA looks as nice or nicer than Cerritos and can handle the parking better. The Roosevelt Garfield game sells out or close to sells out with no problems
