Hailey Langland - San Clemente - McCarthy Academy (Lake Elsinore) - Snowboarding (Slopestyle, Big Air)

17-year-old started snowboarding at 5 at Big Bear when her dad Geoff, also a snowboarder, began teaching her. Supposedly received her first sponsor at 6 years old (!) from Burton, the Nike of snowboard brands. Debuted in competition at 13, winning first tour event. Stopped going to "regular school" after 8th grade, mostly home-schooled (through an academy) in between competitions, and reportedly took finals in between training for and arriving at the Olympics. Became the first woman to land a "Cab double cork 1080" at the 2017 X Games (see the video in link). Expected to be a multiple medal contender in Beijing 2022.
