Create a league consisting of the six Capistrano Unified High Schools moving Mission Viejo to a four team league consisting of the Saddleback Valley District High Schools. Since the Saddleback Valley School District has allowed Mission Viejo to recruit players from Newport Beach to San Juan Capistra...

Re: MV vs MD
Maybe the Freshman holdback would like to shorten his commute and transfer over to MD if MD can’t reel in the QB from Texas. I can’t see the kid sitting another year behind Costelli.

Re: MV vs MD
Home Grown? MV has never been home grown. Your current starting QB is from Redondo Beach and the Freshman Backup is from Westminster.

Re: MV vs MD
MV looked much better against MD's tuition paying players in the 4th quarter. It also became real clear in the 4th quarter that MD does not have a decent QB for next year currently enrolled at the school. Any school with an outstanding underclassman QB should be concerned, MD will be shopping for a ...

Re: San Clemente is out of the playoffs
Maybe the message being sent is don't recruit St. Anthony's players. I'm sure there are some folks at the Long Beaach School not happy about losing their best player to San Clemente.

Re: MV vs MD
Costelli reminds me of Chris Rix. Outstanding athlete with speed and arm strength but not an accurate passer. Remember Rix was so bad throwing the ball during his senior year at SM that he was move to wide receiver. I could see this same thing happening next season with Costelli because they have an...

Re: MV vs MD
This will be a 35 to 40 point win for Mater Dei. I think Servite exposed the overrated MV defense last week. By the 4th quarter the MV defense was done, hands on knees gasping for air. They had not faced a team that put up a fight in 8 weeks. If Mater Dei can keep Costelli in the pocket and force hi...

Re: Servite at Mission
You would think with Servite's outstanding soccer program they could find a kicker that could kick the ball deep and maybe make an extra point attempt. The Mission Viejo kicker was the difference in this game putting every kickoff in the end zone. Servite allowing the kickoff return to inside the 5 y...

Re: Servite at Mission
The players that left SM didn't reside in MV's district boundaries. The rental properties while still retaining their old residences is the least of the problems. Visits to players' homes while those players are still attending SM is much more troubling. Just saying CJ better be real careful.

Re: Servite at Mission
CJ better be careful on what can of worms he opens. Let me tell you that there are some SM families that have more dirt on CJ and his AD that could turn MV's season from 10-0 to 0-10. CJ and the AD were successful in recruiting four SM players last spring but they targeted a few others that didn't w...

Re: Servite at Mission
MV stats are meaningless. How tough is it to roll up huge stats against El Toro, St. Mary's and Capo Valley. MV has not faced an opponent like Servite all season. MV struggled against the Trinity League's last place team with final score of 21-10. SM shutout MV's offense in the second half. I have s...

Re: Santa Margarita Football
The only way SM will be competitive again in the Trinity League is if they are willing to lower their academic standards and by changing tuition assistance from need based to full on football scholarships. That is the MD, Jserra and Bosco model. While Mr. Dunn was the Principal there was no way the ...

Re: Trinity Lg Football 2019 - Round 3
Couldn't agree more with the OC Urban Legend, You can't, in one off season, bring in a bunch of guys from other programs that only care about the number of offers they can list on their twitter accounts and expect them to play and win like a team. I would not be surprised to see Booty back at CDM ne...

Re: Will a Public HS Ever Win a D1 Football Title Again?
Until there is a limit on the number of scholarships for football players at certain private schools you will never see another public school team as the D1 Champ. You can't blame IE parents for sending their football playing kids to MD or Bosco when they attend for free or as low as 100 hundred dol...

Re: 2011 Santa Margarita Eagles - Last Legitimate D1/Pac5 Champion?
Diesel the QBs currently in the program need more than coaching. They don't have the physical skills to compete in the Trinity League. None of them have the arm strength or running ability of Norwood. Some just have more God given physical gifts than others.

Re: 2011 Santa Margarita Eagles - Last Legitimate D1/Pac5 Champion?
Yes Fisher was an outstanding offensive coach but he had no clue about defense and never found the defensive coaches he needed. If he only had Coach Vieselmyer as his defensive coordinator they may have had a chance. SM scored more Pts that season than any other team against MD but gave up 70 if I r...

Re: 2011 Santa Margarita Eagles - Last Legitimate D1/Pac5 Champion?
Diesel I don't know what you are watching but there is not a QB in the SM program anywhere close to as good as Norwood. I honestly believe that the starting QB for the varsity next season is not currently on campus. I'm sure the coaching staff realizes that they can't compete in the Trinity League w...

Re: A TL parent sees Texas HSFB live for the first time-observations
Mr. Moose that QB in waiting will never start a meaningful varsity game for MD. There will be a transfer QB arriving at MD in January.

Re: 2011 Santa Margarita Eagles - Last Legitimate D1/Pac5 Champion?
Yes ChamionsU the 2017 SM team was a high scoring offensive machine but their problem was, like all of Coach Fishers' teams, they didn't play a lick of defense. Who can forget their lost in the playoffs in a game in which they scored 56 pts. on Murrieta Valley.
