Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

Joe, Darryl Williams was an all-county DB at Servite in 2002. My mistake, that was before Troy Thomas, but you were wrong in thinking it was the 1990's. And I can't believe you would invoke John Barnes' legendary three-hour tenure as Servite head coach as any kind of defense.

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

Domingo and his Servite friend conveniently forget that in Troy Thomas' first stint at the school, they brought in African-American and Polynesian players before Bosco ever set the trend -- players like Darryl Williams, D.J. Shoemate, Bijon Samoodi, Greg Portis, Kirifi Taula, Karlton Dennis, Malik F...

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

Watcher, the difference between those three programs is longevity. Bishop Amat made the title game in 69, 70 and 71, winning the last two. Then they had almost a 20 year gap before making it there again in 88, 92 and 94, winning in 92. Then they were gone. St.Paul won the title in 68 and 72, made th...

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

OldSunsetFan, that statement is nonsense for two reasons. First, stating that Bosco played the toughest schedule ever played by a high school team last year is entirely your subjective opinion. The only objective metric, calpreps strength of schedule, indicates that IMG Academy and Mater Dei both pl...

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

The total of Loyola football history doesn't add up to last season's Bosco team. That is absolutely untrue. Loyola has won twice as many D-1 championships as Bosco (six to three), and is the third most storied program in Southern California history after only Long Beach Poly and Mater Dei. There's ...

Re: Miller Moss

First, I've always thought that grown men who insult or ridicule minors are gutless. To do so from behind the anonymity of a forum keyboard is particularly reprehensible. Second, a kid can either ball or he can't, and Noah Fifita can flat-out ball. He makes the most of the tools he has as well as an...

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

Sweetness, I'd recommend you not bother correcting credofriar. It's a waste of time. While he pretends to know a lot about Mater Dei football, the truth is he doesn't know his butt from a donut hole. He says Dave Money "ran off" the other quarterbacks. That's BS. I talk to Money at least twice a wee...

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

MD will have more transfers starting on the football team ( out of 22 positions ) than worked their way up from the freshman team. I agreed with that ( what did I miss? ) And just as when Domingo said that, it's absolutely untrue. Mater Dei will likely start two transfers on defense, one at linebac...

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

Mater Dei will have more starters that have transferred into the school than kids that began there as freshmen. Once again you have posted something that is absolutely untrue. In fact, you are wrong so often, I doubt you remember what right looks like. If you believe your post to be true, please na...

Re: Miller Moss

At least the 10th time ive proven this putts wrong. Credofriar, I owe you an apology for taking so long to respond to this. It's taken me almost 24 hours to stop laughing at you. How can you expect anyone to take you seriously when you misspell a freakin' insult? Putts is what you hit on a putting ...

Re: Miller Moss

I know moron, MD was supposed to be 2-3 TD's better than everyone last year too, but someone forgot to alert Bosco That statement is absolute bullcrap on your part, Daforno. NOBODY with any knowledge of the two teams had Mater Dei by two or three touchdowns. All the polls had them neck and neck, an...

Re: Miller Moss

Moss has trained with the MD QB Coach Taylor Kelly for years. Miller even thanked him on his commitment video that was done before enrolling into MD. For all you hacks that say that's fine or not illegal......do some research on why San Clemente got kicked out of the playoffs last year......... SAM...

Who? Tobey Schmidt transferred out three weeks ago. Skye Selinsky also quit three weeks ago. An insider like you should know that.

He should stay and compete.
He left three weeks ago, long before this latest lockdown started.

And lets not pretend the Moss's are paying full tuition at MD. Who's pretending they are paying Full Tuition? Re: Miller Moss

Domingo, when you make posts like this one, you continue to focus the spotlight on both your ignorance and your obvious anti-Mater Dei agenda. I must admit it is a bit surprising that you are now ragging on Miller Moss, since it is typically black or Polynesian athletes that are the subject of your ...

Re: How important is the Athletic Director at the high school level?

The fact that some posters here believe that high school athletic directors sign-off on who is and who isn't allowed to transfer into a school shows not only how little they know about the position, but how little they know about high school sports in general. And the notion that "all new hires have...

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

If a holdback turns 19 in February for instance, is that player allowed to play any sport at the age of 19? I thought you were ineligible for CIF once you turned 19. Anyone know for sure? The cut-off date is June 15. If a kid turns 19 after June 15 going into his senior year, he can participate all...
