Who's Zooming Whom?

Zoom has been one of the hottest stocks on the market this year—just not the Zoom you think. Shares of Zoom Technologies have surged 10-fold since the first of the year. But most of those traders likely think they are buying Zoom Video Communications. ZM 7.47% The latter is a Silicon Valley wunderki...

Biden and Sanders Offer a Choice: Unite or Fight?

(for the ones still in love with Sanders) It isn’t hard to imagine a Joe Biden administration in which Kamala Harris is vice president, Michael Bloomberg is treasury secretary, Pete Buttigieg is homeland security secretary, Tom Steyer is climate-change czar and Andrew Yang is commerce secretary—or, ...

Yes, they develop medications to make money. This is human nature. Do you think that Edison, or Steve Job or others develop new products to make other people happy? No. Profit motivates innovation. If you do not realize this I am sure that the close Jr. college can offer Economic 101. Yes, many are ...

Ever lived under socialist regime? Public servants are now volunteers. Why bother to excel if everyone will get the save salary, the same, benefits? Why bother to please citizens who need assistance? Let them wait in line for long time. Why bother to be innovative? Sanders had a least heart attack t...

Re: He is not a liberal, he's the end of liberalism - interesting perspective from... David Brooks

A recent poll found that a high percentage of voters in CA and in TX have a "positive view" of socialism and I have to wonder whether they even know what socialism means. Just as many support Medicare for all until they hear the details and then they no longer do.

He is worse! Like Trump he admires strongmen. He does not care about anyone. His so-called "care" are just vehicles to advance his ambitions. He is not even a Democrat! Has never been a Democrat, has actively campaigned against Democratic candidates including hoping for a primary challenge to Obama ...

StarTribunr editorial: Sanders tries to rewrite his past on authoritarianism

For the last three years, the U.S. president has accommodated autocrats. November’s election threatens to make it eight years — even if President Donald Trump isn’t re-elected. Based on favorable comments he’s made in the past on Cuba, Nicaragua and even the Soviet Union, Democratic front-runner Sen...

(snip) I’ve just watched populism destroy traditional conservatism in the G.O.P. I’m here to tell you that Bernie Sanders is not a liberal Democrat. He’s what replaces liberal Democrats. Traditional liberalism traces its intellectual roots to John Stuart Mill, John Locke, the Social Gospel movement ...

AI Is the Next Workplace Disrupter--and It's Coming for High-Skilled Jobs

The next wave of labor-saving technology will wear a white collar. Artificial intelligence—programming machines to think more like humans—is expected to alter how Americans work on a scale similar to the impact of robotics and desktop computers. But employees affected by it are much more likely to b...

Describing a politician

What, for instance, was the response of his party, and of the nation’s political institutions as a whole, to him who prided himself on indifference to rules; who leveled charges of treason, however unfounded, at anyone he wished? How was he able to operate in complete freedom His pronouncements sold...

Plus, if there are already plans of attacks by Iran, this means that they can go on as planned. That there is no need for a new leader. Too much reminding of the WMD from Bush jr.

Who is Maj. Gen. Qassem Suleimani, the man who stumped Trump? (Who's on First?)

From Sept 4, 2015 In an extraordinary interview on live radio this week, Donald Trump seemed to stumble when he landed in the Middle East. It started when he was asked about Maj. Gen. Qassem Suleimani, the powerful and popular military officer who heads the elite Quds force of Iran’s Revolutionary G...

Re: How Kamala Harris’s Campaign Unraveled

Groan! But perhaps we deserve it. A pathetic thin skinned whiner in the White House; the once proud CBS news is now the network of Oprah. Students in colleges have to be warned about "triggers." They need to be coddled. The whole nations is now comprised of whiners who have to pour their lives on"So...
