I have a question

It seems that most of the discussion threads here are about High School. Sports, that is, not about academic achievements heavens forbids. But seeing that the life span of each member is four years - unless some have to repeat classes again and again - how can one keep interest in teams with such hi...

Re: Why keep loging?

Thanks. I am using Firefox that seems to update every several weeks it seems. I hate all these updates. At least once I do go to the logging window, it does remember me..

Re: How Kamala Harris’s Campaign Unraveled

Groan! But perhaps we deserve it. A pathetic thin skinned whiner in the White House; the once proud CBS news is now the network of Oprah. Students in colleges have to be warned about "triggers." They need to be coddled. The whole nations is now comprised of whiners who have to pour their lives on"So...

Why keep loging?

It used to be that even if I had not been here for months, the site still remembered me.

Now, in the past few days, I have to log in every time I visit. Even when I select the "remember me" it does not.

Can Republicans Win in the Suburbs? There's a Class for That

At the inaugural session of “Suburban Candidate School,” a woman raised her hand with a burning question: What should a Republican running for Congress in a suburban district say when asked about President Trump? “I always say: ‘I join the first lady in wishing he wouldn’t tweet as much, but I like ...

How Kamala Harris’s Campaign Unraveled

WASHINGTON — In early November, a few days after Senator Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign announced widespread layoffs and an intensified focus on Iowa, her senior aides gathered for a staff meeting at their Baltimore headquarters and pelted the campaign manager, Juan Rodriguez, with questions....

How to reverse Mexico's slide into a failed state

Bret Stephens (snip) The episode has gained major attention in the U.S. largely because the LeBaróns are part of a long-standing American Mormon presence in northern Mexico. Legislation Would Force Google and Rivals to Disclose Search Algorithms

Senate lawmakers proposed bipartisan legislation that would require search engines to disclose the algorithms they use in ranking internet searches and give consumers an option for unfiltered searches. Search engines such as Alphabet Inc. ’s Google unit use a variety of measures to filter results fo...

Katie Hill resigned for being "revenge porn victim"

Honestly, I don't know how many women visit this site - with the majority sill infatuated with high school sports - but, really, if you have "intimate" pictures online, on your phone, wherever - they will surface. Your phone can be hacked, your former trusted lover will be no more. We hear about "ce...

Re: Democrats and Republicans Aren't Just Divided. They Live in Different Worlds

Please. Not sure how to do it, not sure whether my PM went..

They are labeled at the bottom so just put No. 1 first, followed by No. 2, 3, and 4.

Should have posted them in a reverse order. For next time

Democrats and Republicans Aren't Just Divided. They Live in Different Worlds

A major report by the WSJ. Since I cannot insert images in the middle of the post, will try to refer to them and, unfortunately, they are in revers order... Fig 1 at the bottom, Fig 4 at the top. If JQP can rearrange them it can help.. The two parties represent radically different slices of the Amer...

The budget deficit tops $1 trillion

Anyone notice interesting points?

Remember who was in the White House in 1999 and 2000?

And remembers who was in the White House bringing us up from the depth of the "Great Recession?"

And who took over in 2017?

But, hey, they are the party of the "fiscally responsible"

Democrats Can't Afford to Leave Moderates Behind

As Democrats cruise toward their next debate later this month, and consider how far their party should move left along the way, here are some electoral facts to consider. Moderate voters have long been one of the most reliable constituencies for Democrats. Exit polls show that Democratic presidentia...

Another scam - from the Social Security threatening suspension

This is what the person said when I answered the phone. From the Social Security Administration the account has been "suspended.." this is as far as he went. I hung up. Neither the IRS, nor any other government agency, not a bank not a utility company will call to announce a "suspension" or worse. B...

John Oliver pried the gun from Charlton Heston’s cold dead hands — then he ripped the NRA to shreds

HBO host John Oliver noted that Americans are reminded daily that President Donald Trump is doing the bare minimum at being a president. This week, according to the “Last Week Tonight” host, Trump proved he “was doing the bare minimum at being a f*cking person.” Even Trump’s staff confessed that the...

Led by Donald Trump and Boris Johnson, Disrupters Rise Globally - Gerald Seib, WSJ

We are living in an age of technological disruption, so it figures that the most important trend in international politics is the rise of disrupters around the globe. Last week’s ascension of Boris Johnson—notorious bad boy, mocker of the system that produced him, the man as responsible as anyone fo...

Kamala Harris Is Now the Candidate to Beat - WSJ op-ed By Gerard Baker Editor at Large (snip) It’s an especially curious state because I suspect that, if we weren’t all talking about the squad right now, we would be talking incessantly about Kamala Harris. There’s not much doubt that the California ...
