Hi all.
If the SC says that states can ban gay marriage, how many states where it is legal now will revert to it being illegal?

I run the poll in our area, and nearly half the people come up with their ID out. Some are even miffed that they don't have to show ID. I think the idea that having an ID is somehow racist has run its course.

Re: Absentee voters - don't make these mistakes
I am the poll inspector for my district. I have to turn away a lot of people because they do not have signed envelopes. It really is kind of a simple process, as the instructions are right on the envelope.

Omar, Given what we have argued about in the past, I really do not have a hard time agreeing that those last two posts were yours. Given that, I think that Echo has a lot more to say about this than a few Monday morning quarterbacks, as he speaks from personal experience. You and Wabash may disagree ...

The lie that Dixiecrats became Republicans is so dis-proven it isn't even funny anymore. Here is just one example on the internet.

Re: They are kidding... IRS lost ALL of Lerners’s emails!
FISMA regulations require the retention of email. Also, since these emails were in relation to specific cases, they would be discoverable, and would need to be retained. I agree that a great deal of emails are junk and don't need to be retained, but these particular emails should still be there. I ...

Re: They are kidding... IRS lost ALL of Lerners’s emails!
Well, I work in Corp. IT as a consultant, and I find it very very difficult to believe that they "lost" all the data. Hard Drives do in fact crash, but best practices dictate having redundant drives in one mode or another, and most corporate IT departments have backups going back years for email. I ...

Actually, the Republicans won the popular vote in 2004 by almost 3 million votes.

Omar, it is really pretty simple. We expect the adults to act like adults. In this case, Bill was not acting as the adult, or even close to appropriately. I am not the one that is ignoring the obvious facts of the matter.

This is what I said.
As for investors last, this seems more in line with a communistic economic philosophy, so I am not surprised.
I know it is a subtle point, but perhaps if you ruminate on it, you will understand what I was trying to say.

Communism puts the people (or State) first.
Capitalism puts profit first.
Econ 101.
A capitalist must balance the needs of the consumer with the needs of the firm, but the ultimate goal is to make a profit.
