I read on another board that the family of the boy should sue Sarah Palin.

Re: What would you like to see the Republican Congress do?

There are beaucoups bucks to be saved through defense cuts. I talked to a person that works for the defense department. He said his department was forced to buy tank engines even though they didn’t need them or want them. I’ve heard that happens all the time. Yes I believe manned bombers are becomi...

Re: What would you like to see the Republican Congress do?

Probably true. There never has been much outrage over the subsidies from either side. The ethanol corn subsidies got a little strange, but other than that the monies are in defense and social programs...guns or butter...age old issue...Major Barbara...GB Shaw. There is currently a lawsuit saying th...

Re: What would you like to see the Republican Congress do?

Everyone seems to have a different interpretation of the Constitution. Joe Miller ran for the Senate in Alaska. He said “Social Security is unconstitutional”! But he was happy to collect government farm subsidies. Are farm subsidies constitutional? Is Government debt constitutional? I’d like to see ...

Re: Democratic Congresswoman shot

I wouldn't blame an entire group of people for the actions of one. I would make no judgements. I would sent him to Gitmo and try him in a Tucson court house or in NYC which ever was available. Then I would forgive the sinner but not the sin. All I can say is Republicans get mean when they lose elec...

Re: Democratic Congresswoman shot

Well, I know what you're talking about--there was also that local radio show that advertised a Get Rid of Giffords event where they could shoot an M-16 at the event. However, until we find out more it really isn't worthwhile to throw around blame. Fordama Gabrielle Giffords' father: 'The whole Tea ...

The headlines should have read “Democratic Congresswoman in Sarah Palins crosshairs was shot”!

And to think one of these two will be the next governor. California is pretty much ungovernable now...what do either of these people think they can do to get us back on the right track? To date, neither has elaborated any kind of specific platform. Link to MSN coverage of the story The reason I thi...

Obstruct it

I know you want Obama to fail! So do you want more bank bailouts? Are Republicans against any regulation of banks? If so should the Republicans obstruct the financial bill like they did the healthcare bill? Waterloo Sunset: Financial Obstructionism Could Be GOP Political Suicide Sen. Jim DeMint famo...

I understand your concern ... but would you make the same argument about using "my" tax dollars to purchase insurance for someone other than me (or "to buy insurance I don't need")? We're being "encouraged" to think out beyond ourselves. I would be fine if it were left to my sense of altruism or ch...

Look at this guy's report, Mellin, from the Cato institute . I don't agree with everything he says, but your observation about the comparative expenses is spot on with this guy's report... and he's got a whole lot more, to boot. Despite myself, I find more agreement with him than disagreement. dave...

It seems to me that the terrorist only have to spend a few thousand dollars to get the U.S. to spend billions to counter their attacks. When they attempt an attack or are successful first thing we do in the U.S. is start pointing fingers “Who’s fault is it”? Then we spend billions on some solution t...
