Re: Empire League 2012

Luckily for Burt it is the non-weight bearing bone in his leg that broke. I'm not Anatomy major so I can't think of the name at the moment. Cypress also had their Center go down later in the 4th Quarter. Yorba looked physical & well conditioned.

Re: Empire League 2011

Anybody know when the All League selections come out? Been checking on OCVars. & Co. every other day or so but I can't seem to find them :eh?: :eh?:

Re: Trabuco Hills PA Announcer Last Night

These are student-athletes at a public educational instituion sponsored event, not a bunch of "homies" hanging out at the local In-and-Out. Do you really think a player even hears the PA? There is a time and place for everything, and a public game is not the place to hear I some adult glorifying hi...

Re: Trabuco Hills PA Announcer Last Night

This eems to be more and more common, and yes, it is rather bush league. I was at a Kennedy game and there guy was using slang/thug names for the kids. First of all I'd like to point out that I am no where near what you would call a Kennedy 'supporter'. However, their announcer does a great job of ...

Re: Empire League 2011

Bick, No the game changer was the unsuccessful onside kick with about 5 minutes left in the first half Cypress was ahead 14-6, Tustin drove the ball in about 4 minutes on a short field and scores and ties the game, with about a minute left Cypress panics tries to score big and recapture momentum- r...

Re: Upland High School-Did they or didn`t they?

From what I could see, the player in question (#85) was lined up as the LG. Formation started as this WR(off the LOS) TE|OT|#85|C|OG|OT WR(on the LOS) RB1 QB RB2 The Shift: Left TE motions to become Right TE. WR(on the LOS) motions down into a 3 point stance next to the now Right TE. RB2 Motions int...

Re: Empire League 2011

Interesting take, but that's not really what I saw, Seadog, but then you're probably more "football smart" than I am. The Irish didn't need to throw last night because their OL dominated the PAC DL all night long, at least from this POV. PAC QB was sacked a helluva lot more than just 5 times - I'm ...

Re: Empire League 2011

I think it was mostly from the double wing, but keep in mind I'm not much of an x and o guy. Sudz looked good. Tandy looked very good. O line had their way with the Irish defense. I love Maka. Defensive secondary has work to do, as usual, a few holds that were non-calls. Tustin looked like Tustin, ...

Re: Empire League 2011

Tustin finally dominates an opponent. And it comes in league play. Lots of work to do for the Tillers. Stupid penalties. Kennedy had no answer for the Tillers run game. Surprising to see the Irish's D Train put Pleasant as an also ran. Tustin looks good in the division until they come against La Ha...

Re: BATTLE OF THE BAY Newport or CDM?

Newport harbor has dominated CDM forever. This year should be a little bit more interesting though, CDM is 3-0 while the Sailors or 0-2 heading into fridays game. Although the Sailors are 0-2 i still think they have an edge over CDM because the teams they have played are much better then the teams ...

Re: Empire League 2011

Howell really has this group set in the right direction this year even if it is only 3 games into the season. Western was predicted by ocvarsity and cal-preps to lose by at least 2 touchdowns to a Corona del Mar team that could probably beat a handful of the SW division teams. The Pios had a FOURTE...

It was a laugher but Cypress should of put 47 on them in the first half as bad as Norwalk played.

I think it was something like 5 or 6 out of their front 7 were either Sophomores or Juniors.
