Trump continues to let sentient beings know his followers have zero memory. His party had majorities in both houses of congress for two years and couldn't do anything.

I know the Senate required Dem votes. But.....Trump claims to be the world's best negotiator. He even wrote a book about it.

Trump has stated that trade wars are easy to win. Couple that with his renewed demand for more bailouts for those affected by his idiotic trade war. And.....the massive increase in the federal deficit. We now know that the so called party of fiscal responsibility is a talking point and not much else.

I believe Trump wants Barr to be the guy who puts his neck on the line by saying "no," but more likely it's an acknowledgment that the President knows he can't really stop Mueller, and that if he tries it would just result in an embarrassing and high profile defeat. Mueller will be testify...
