Re: The Trinity League v. The United States of America
This game came down to coaching... SFA roster is littered with athletes and straight ballers. The two defensive ends from SFA have NFL potential. #3 is an LSU commit and 4 star ranking and #10 is an Alabama commit is a 5 star rank. #10 gave MD’s right tackle fits all night line. Needing help. SFA’s ...

Re: MD LOSES MVP
@Eskimo, the biggest difference with the 4/6 team and next season was the new group of upper class man. The 4/6 team had poor leadership and the senior class wasn’t very good. Again, the talent improved.

Re: MD LOSES MVP
One thing change and it’s the only reason MD is winning national titles and beating SJB and IMG is the quality of athletes. A team full of 4 star and 5 star athletes vs a group of under achievers. You take your pick. MD is getting several kids that have hit the DNA lottery. Big difference. You can t...

Re: How did this all start?
Agreed, why would he leave Bosco. Already makes great money, coaches some of the best talent around.
But the jump from high school coach to college worked well for Gus Malzahn. Currently head coach at Auburn.

Re: Bosco vs Mater Dei
Did Mater Dei really have chance? Bosco will beat them again CIF finals by at least 3 touchdowns. Amazing, a lot changed in a year. Mater Dei got very lucky vs IMG. If IMG had any coaching, they would have won by 2 touchdowns. It took a few trick plays, an ejection on IMG, a special teams touchdown ...

Re: Best High School QB ever from O.C.?
Good call on Aaron Corp. He was a beast to handle. True dual threat. He belongs on the top 10 list for sure.
Ha, Doug Baughman threw for a ton of yards, be he played against lesser talent. I think he threw for almost 600 yards in a game.

Re: Best High School QB ever from O.C.?
Lukash maybe your favorite, doesn't mean he belongs on the all time QB from OC. In my opinion the Mount Rushmore of OC QB's is as follows, but not in any particular order: First Tier: Billy Blanton JT Daniels Carson Palmer Todd Marinovich Second Tier: Matt Barkley Rob Johnson Conner Manning Third Ti...

Re: Best High School QB ever from O.C.?
@Watchersince 68 - Is Lukash releated to you? He's not even in the same category as all of the other QB's mentioned. He's not even top 10 at MD in the Coach Dave Money ETA
Yes, I like Carey and Feterick also. Rob Johnson was a great one.

Re: Best High School QB ever from O.C.?
I would put Billy Blanton along with Todd Marinovich as the two best to ever play QB in OC. Billy Blanton was a true gun slinger. He put up big numbers, led MD to Coach Rollison's first CIF title. He didn't play behind the top rated offensive line in the country, he didn't have 5 big time recruit WR...

Re: "Safe Youth Football Act" ~ California
Take the politics out of banning tackle football for kids below high school. Is it actually a bad thing to ban tackle football for youth kids that are 8 grade and under? I actually don't think kids should be be playing tackle football until high school anyways. I never played tackle and several of m...

NCAA coaches all sign code of ethics too. They have to take a test on ethics and recruiting. It's all B.S.

Re: Mater Dei will NOT win it all
The only team that I can see beating MD is Bosco. They have the guys in the trenches to compete with MD and the skill on the outside. Give the Bosco more time with the new starting QB. They were only coming off a couple weeks of him starting and it basically changes the entire offense. They have the...

Why isn't the current coach at SM doing a good job? The Eagles are putting up good numbers on the ground. With Bob Johnson stepping down, I can see SM drawing more talent from the Mission Viejo area.

This game will not be a close one in my opinion. Outside of Bosco, Bishop Gorman or IMG, I don't see anybody that can keep up or stop MD this year.

Re: Parents should read this regarding recruiting services.
The entire problem lies with the parents in over-valuing how good little Johnny is. The running back featured in the article was NOT a division I prospect and wasn't even close. Just because little Johnny was able to play at Mater Dei doesn't mean he's a 3 star or 4 star or division I prospect. If t...

Re: Mater Dei or St. John Bosco - Who's better?
The only way MD beats Bosco is if they run the ball 25 times in there game when they play. Coaching staff: Bosco is better and it's not even close Offensive line: I would say MD with 4 returning starters, but Bosco is close behind WR's: MD QB: MD, Defensive line: MD with the transfers and the right ...

[quote="BoscoBandWagon"]MDDAD aka MDCOACH (cough, cough) no "dad" would know all the insides of MD for the past 10 years like you do. - I was thinking the same thing. He has posted information on this board that only coaches would have know.
