Re: 'The Counterfeiters" 2008 AA For Best Foreign Language F

Thanks, PP, for the movie rental suggestion. I rely on Netflix to tide me over until anything worth viewing is released in the theaters later this year. Maybe I'll go see Sex in the City if it stays this hot.

Re: What Is He Talking About?

It is sad that the Daily Pilot gives this obviously delusional man ink. This has to be the most disconnected piece to date. Does that paper have an editor?

Re: Intelligent Life In Costa Mesa

All the leaders in the world can not speed up the painful American process of millions of dollars down the drain given to committees for study after study and five years later what do you have? If we could figure out how to build a train to Ontario, that would be a wonderful solution and would take ...

I agree with you RS. I don't understand this need to make the balloon area look like Disneyland. Limit its use to cut expenses and leave the tents and facilities as is. They can always be improved upon later. Get to the business of grading and planning the park. Too much hooplah over the balloon... ...

I think there should be some order to the free balloon rides. The day I went it seemed mothers with strollers find it a good way to entertain themselves and kids. That is okay but it is at the expense of some elderly that I saw leaving when they heard the wait was too long. How about veteran's day a...

The Great Park will always have an advantage over all the cost estimates from CalTrans. It seems that whatever they build becomes obsolete before the project is complete despite escalating costs. Now they plan to buy houses in Brentwood in order to widen the 405 and by the time it is nearing complet...

In keeping up with Disneyland, they better use an orange aroma on the balloon ride.

Not stupid, just premature.

Appears more like a home sales gimmick. I think they should hold off until some real park construction has begun in earnest.

As an Almodovar fan, I loved this movie. Penelope Cruz in her native tongue is a great actress and not bad eye candy either. Not necessarily a chick flick, but he does love his women characters. I wonder what his relationship with his mother was like.
