Re: Servite admin in hot water

Maybe johnny McEntee wanted to throw his name in the ring. You know, "Make Servite Great Again". POTUS is a MD fan, got angry and tossed Johnny outta the White House!

Re: Servite admin in hot water

Nah. Guy went out of his way to act like a t-ool. When he was asked to settle down, by a SMCHS parent, he went ballistic and challenged the Servite side to step to the parking lot. Other SMCHS parents could only look on in disbelief, as they'd witnessed the drunk's act many times before. I was ten f...

Re: What has happen to Servite football

Boy oh boy! All this innuendo about double hold backs, 19 year old QBs, poaching youth football, transfers, best 8th grade QB, etc. only points to how much MD honks hate that they may no longer be the masters of those domains in the OC. Let the games begin!

Re: Trinity League Soccer

Servite was bounced 2-1 in OT, in yet another early round playoff exit. Since winning a CIF title in 2015, Servite has suffered consecutive first match losses, doing so twice at home. Warren HS came to play and thoroughly dominated the time of possession. Hats off to them for putting on a short-game...

Re: Cantlay vs Woods: Best High School golfer from OC?

Bongo,
Are the words "Congratulations", "Nicely done", or "Good job" in your vocabulary? Or is hypercritical behavior your ever-present state of mind when it comes to judging the accomplishments of young athletes and/or their efforts?

Re: D1 Soccer, Mission Viejo 2 Mater Dei 1

Yes! A huge upset. Karma delivered to SMCHS's drunk soccer dad and to his (classless) star player son with his two-middle-fingers salute right back at them. Time for the Friars to reverse the bad mojo.

Bren,

You came out the box with some fresh takes, but post-by-post, you're coming off as a very verbose MD apologist. Don't let The Professor get under your skin.

Re: #beingblackOnAnAllwhitestaff

"Pursay". That she-it is priceless. Sounds like the prisoner dude on from "In Living Color", trying to articulate his thoughts. Why does a guy who mentions that it's all about the kids in one sentence, toot his own horn in the other 99% of the story? So tired of reading/hearing about a/o seeing thes...

Re: It's just cool...

Its interesting that were on a board criticizing certain schools for even ALLOWING certain students into their school because of their supposed lack of Catholic values and wholesomeness, and in the same forum we're saying "at least they did something" when a kid who attended one of the shining inst...

Re: Signing Day News ~ OC Recruits

An impressive list of schools for sure for the MD Class of 2018. Bravo. I'd be interested to hear from those here who are parents. Many kids sign with much smaller, lesser-known schools. Some with no offer of funding at all to attend an out of state public school in a relatively remote location - to...

Re: Trinity League Soccer

In the immortal words of Detective Harry Callahan, "A man's got to know his limitations." Or, at least his son's limitations. Hardly any kids get to play D1, or at the collegiate level at all. DNA has got a lot to do with it. It boggles my kind when I see a 5'4"/180lb. Dad pushing his kid to be the ...

Re: Trinity League Soccer

Congratulations, Coach Jon Spencer and Servite Soccer for another Trinity League championship. That's FIVE CONSECUTIVE league titles. Something that had not been previously accomplished in TL history. Like a breath of fresh air in a world of accusations of "player-for-hire" improprieties, HS futbol ...

Re: Servite's Next Football Coach

Servite forgot how to play defense since TT left. People stopped going to games because of this. Attendance has been waaaay down. When TT had the ballers at Crespi, they did pretty well. The problem there was very low participation numbers. Like I said before. We are banking on the 2006-2011 TT, NO...

inflagrantedelicto , I know you have a very special player leading on the soccer field...Congrats!!! Thank you, Ramon! Yes, it has been a successful season to-date, though we took one on the chin today at SMCHS. They won their "Super Bowl" this evening and celebrated by having some I fee...

Re: Servite admin in hot water

Apparently, Bowen was making the argument that Servite "...is not a merely a football school..", when Kalil interrupted and told Bowen to "get real", that football is/was the reason kids attend the school. That they don't go to Servite for its basketball or baseball programs. I've been informed by a...

Re: Servite's Next Football Coach

Agree. Those are very reasonable expectations until / unless SJB & MD come back to earth. And that's not going to happen without transfer rule being addressed. Bosco has really upgraded their facilities, and with their success won't likely see a slowdown in transfer traffic. With enough griping by ...

Re: Trinity League Soccer

Servite improved to 5-0 (14-1-1) in TL play, with a comeback 3-1 win at Mater Dei. Very impressed with the MD student turnout and support in the losing effort. With the football and basketball programs in shambles, an underachieving baseball program, kids transferring out in droves, the Formation an...

Morris is so pathetic I nearly asked him to leave the Servite sideline during a soccer match so as not to impart any bad mojo upon the lads.

Re: 2018 Free agency

Bongo, it may be "one note", but it rings so true that not even you can find a way to spin your way out. Sure, everyone loves to win, but at what expense? I'd ask the same of every Friars, Braves, Eagles, and Lions honk as well. Can you Bongo, or the other MD honks on this board say with a straight ...
