Re: The Trinity League v. The United States of America

Who knows how these games are determined.

SJB may have wanted to avoid playing on Saturday in this case as they have a game the following Friday in Hawaii against Mililani.

They'll be traveling to Hawaii early in the week next week.

Neither Moses Sepulona or Sefita Tupe are on the official roster listed on MD football's website.

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

Good info on the transfers and how they are working out RedPill. It's hard to keep up on the xfers and who's playing vs not playing. Clearly transfers are here to stay given that the CIF member schools decided NOT to make any substantive changes to the transfer rules when they recently debated this ...

I completely agree with Al.

As a parent, holding your child back for athletic reasons really gets under my skin! I try not to judge families that do this, but it's hard!

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

Earnest Greene and Max Gibbs should not be considered transfers. They've been at SJB since freshmen year. Them not playing on varsity last year does not make them like a transfer. They are just kids moving through the program.

Re: "Transfers" SS Survey Says, "71.5% Want Rules Adjusted"

The reality is any substantive restriction to transfers will translate to lawsuits against schools and/or CIF. And this will result in loosening of the rule set. Even in the case where the CIF/Schools have a justified legal position. They won't want to bear the legal cost of defending themselves. Is...

Re: Bosco vs Mater Dei

BBB response to losing an argument is insulting and childish.

BBB's paraphrased response: "I'm angry! And you're a liar! And a bad parent!"

Me thinks you still need some parenting BBB.

Re: Bosco vs Mater Dei

Are you freaking kidding me?!? Is this true? That's unbelievable! I know Trent McDuffie is the only starter at Bosco that attended a local Catholic school. I'm still waiting for someone to provide a list of local Parochial kids that will start for Mater Dei. Your raving about something completely i...

Re: Bosco vs Mater Dei

Yes, the Apostles were not Catholic! The original all male catholic school admitted non Catholics! Excellent point Has it not been a long standing priority of the Catholicism to convert and add more faithful to the ranks? Allowing and even encouraging non Catholics to attend is entirely consistent w...

So you are totally kinda against it but if it's landing at LH totally kinda for it!

My son was a varsity starter on the offensive line (graduated in 2015). I can tell you from personal experience he had plenty of homework to do. Both in and out of football season.

Re: Track and Field top marks

Didn't Servite first steal them from Mater Dei, or do you apply a different verb in that case? Simplistic argumentation. "Stole". Life is more complex than the binary thinking of "good" vs "evil". Maybe the kids wanted to leave for personal reasons. Or maybe they didn't like where the Servite footb...

Re: Mater Dei Scared of IMG

High School Football teams play in a league. They compete against a common set of teams annually. They have the potential of winning their league and then moving forward to eventually have a chance to play for a state championship. They are included in the states high school competitive structure (i...

SJB in 2013 did finish #1 nationally, but not in every poll as MD has. SJB took all the computer polls (CalPreps, MaxPreps, and USA Today), but none of the human based polls.

Re: Mater Dei vs. St. John Bosco D1 Final 2017

JT is a junior is he not? Josh Rosen left high school early, but it wasn’t until after his senior season football campaign. And it required a lot of AP work and accelerated classes including summer school. It seems, the earliest JT would be able to graduate would be after his senior season football ...
