Re: MV vs MD
MV has a strong Junior class and will likely pick up some transfers as always. Despite this, they won’t come close to catching MD or SJB. What they will do though is put more distance between themselves and the rest of their league, as well as the other teams they often schedule pre-league (SM, LH, ...

Re: MV vs MD
If you take the top two teams out of any league in the country what are you left with? Servite impressed me last night, much respect. Should the fact that MV would be the third best team in the Trinity League be considered a knock on the league? In what league in the country would MV be worse than t...

Re: Servite at Mission
Some thoughts from last night’s game: - Fifita to T-Mac was lethal, for the first time since the Centennial scrimmage exposing the MV secondary as their weak spot...CJ should do whatever he can to schedule a D1 team or Helix/Cathedral next year - I was sitting next to a lot of the MV dads and most s...

You’re right TT...according to their FB page, it looks like the MV Cowboys are relaunching/rebranding themselves as SC Trojans.

Re: Mission Viejo Football Pipeline
Haven’t the MV Cowboys been the primary feeder program for MV? Chad trying to expand to an even bigger footprint?

Re: Capo Valley #2 in the South Coast League?
Based on SOS and results I had MV smoking CV...Ironic... Wake up call for the Diablos after lack luster week of practice, Diablos looking past a very talented, well coached Cougars football team. Olinemen for MV simply weren’t blocking in the first half, penalties rampant on both sides, w bye week ...

Re: Capo Valley #2 in the South Coast League?
Manning to Meyer...another long Capo TD. Capo up 24-17 with 7:04 left 3Q. Before I can press submit, MV answers right back with two consecutive passes to Jojo Forest, the second for a TD. MV ties it at 24.

Capo Valley up 14-0 with 1:55 to go in the first quarter. Two punts from MV were followed by two long TD passes from Manning

Re: Mission Viejo Football. Any news?
574041 So you want to put them in the Trinity that plays by a different set of rules? Makes perfect sense. MD and Bosco best 2 out of 3 for the open. The rest of the Trinity Centennial MV Rancho Cuc Upland etc in D1. Winner of that in regional game versus Narbonne or Helix. You nailed it...MD/Bosco...

Re: Mission Viejo Football. Any news?
574034 Watching MV thrash lesser public school teams has never been fun to watch and devalues whatever lower division Championship they win. Nobody cares that they won a bunch of Div. 2 Championship. They are too good and have a different set of rules than Tesoro and San Clemente have to play by. T...

Re: Mission Viejo Football. Any news?
573966 No, but that was not my point. I was trying to counter the assertion by some that, as a public school, Mission Viejo is limited to enrolling student athletes who live within their school district and attendance area. There are any number of examples that prove that is not true, and there hav...

Isn’t JT Daniels from Irvine or am I mistaken?FBOC wrote:Well it's around 50% Asian I think. That's not a winning formula to win football games. I have also heard the good athletes go to privates in basketball and football at least. I do recall a few MD basketall players living in Irvine

Re: scott meyer servite
What’s the measuring stick for Servite? Is it competing with MD? If so, the next coach is doomed. Putting the top 3 aside for a moment, who was the team that Servite wasn’t capable of beating this year? I guess I don’t understand the need for the tear-down, but I’ll defer to the Servite folks on the...

Re: Coaches Resigning
Other problem for SJH is that they are square in the middle of two Trinity League teams along with MV, San Clemente, CV and Tesoro. They have to worry about building a program with just the neighborhood kids while trying to keep those kids from getting plucked away.

Re: "The Lid is Off"! ~ LA Times {Transfers}
FBOC, Arnold should be limiting his reps at RB and focusing on the other side of the ball. I saw Ferrell on Sunday as he is coaching a Flag Football team...his limp is still noticeable, not sure he’ll be 100% by the opener.

Re: What has happen to Servite football
I can’t see Servite dropping into D2 anytime soon. Besides the Big 3, they could beat anyone else in D1 this year. And they would have trounced the teams at the bottom of D1. I think it’s going to be quite awhile before there are 18 teams in the SS better than Servite, especially with the current ex...

Trevor Lawrence, top overall player in Class of ‘18...first QB with that distinction since Matt Barkley. To be fair, Daniels was rated in Class of ‘19 all year.

Re: You won’t be missed JT
even though its off-topic, it's just I don't believe there is a thread that is solely about discussing SJB, just wondering, you think Bosco will still remain a championship-contender even though they lost O.C. Coordinator Chad Johnson? Is this a serious question or are you just trying to goad Mr Ni...
