Re: How important is the Athletic Director at the high school level?

At JSerra Ledyard has had a heavy hand in the hires there. Harlow and WIlkinson are his hires; many of the other coaching hires are his also. From what I see the track record has been pretty good overall.

Apparently hiking with his mother/father. Has to be brutal watching your son drop dead before your eyes. Prayers to the family.

Re: 2020 Football Schedules

QB play biggest reason their season was sub-par. With adequate play they beat St Josephs and Servite and go 8-3.

Re: A world without sports

Probably 20 odd years ago a yellow page salesman came into my store and showed me a graph of what percentage of people were still using their yellow pages. I sent them a packet later containing my own graph of how many yellow page salesman would be out of work in five years. The district manager ca...

Re: A world without sports

New housing construction on west side of Phoenix where I now live is still going bonkers. Low interest rates, stock market (while not pre-virus highs) still solid for now=lots of folks from places like CA, OR, WA, IL, and MN moving here (still). Manufacturing generally open (lot of aerospace and oth...

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

https://twitter.com/QuinnEwers/status/1 ... 4734338053 Does this alter things? As USC (GHarrell) now has entered the Quinn Ewers Sweepstakes? Perhaps he's now a MD QB candidate. Saw Ewers play live last fall. The real deal. I shudder at how good he would be with MD's receivers (although his situati...

Re: Trinity league basketball

Saw MD and Sierra Canyon play back to back at HoopHall West in Phoenix in December. Mater Dei will give SC problems. MD has superior coaching-will make them play half court basketball, which SC is not good at.

Bosco should have taken the JSerra approach and fake injury/illness to not be in Open Division. They just ain't very good.

Borra had an ACL. Martinez hand injury.

Sierra Canyon has top talent, but isn't particularly well coached. If MD can make them run 1/2 court sets-MD will beat them.

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

All stuff that the right OC (Rob Johnson and Sam Baker) can fix provided the inmates had more patience.

Interesting that this wasn't happening with previous Harlow-coached teams.
