Re: Troy Thomas Resigns as Head Coach
Schonert would be a very strong choice, but realistically after coaching in the NFL you wonder how likely it is that someone would want to take a turn at HSFB. Especially if you want to continue coaching at a high level, having a high school stint on your resume makes it look like you had fallen on...

Re: Troy Thomas Resigns as Head Coach
I would love to see Turk as Servite's new coach! Red would be proud! I think Turk's experience at Stanford and the NFL could help him succeed, just not sure if the salary and the move would work with his career path. As far as Thomas, I'm grateful for his service to Servite, and it was a fun run, bu...

Re: Are We Headed to a Split Decision?
Major polls show Romney leading in the popular vote, but state by state voting show Obama leading in the Electoral College. I'm sort of hoping that occurs. I remember all the talk by conservatives that liberals were sore losers when the scenario occurred in 2000. I predict there will a similar call...

Re: Walmart SUCKS!
Working your way up? I don't want to work my way up in a company that treats its employees like garbage that needs to squeeze out every single inch of productivity at the cost of human decency. Then don't... Your supposed description of conditions at Wal-Mart is pretty drama-queenesque. ...but it s...

It's been fun to see Niklas out there this season!inflagrantedelicto wrote:...Troy Nikas (Servite), TE, #85, for 11th-ranked Notre Dame
What do you think about ND going to the ACC and changing their schedule? I hear they'll always keep USC on the schedule.

Right... That's called: "Working your way up"; sadly a concept lost in today's culture.

Re: Obama spending binge never happened
OK....this is interesting "As would-be president Mitt Romney tells it: 'I will lead us out of this debt and spending inferno.' Almost everyone believes that Obama has presided over a massive increase in federal spending, an “inferno” of spending that threatens our jobs, our businesses and our child...

I would also add: "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" It always amuses me how altruistic and generous (always with other people'...

NO UNIONS needed in this day and age.
If Wal-Mart was really as bad as the Unions try to make them out to be - people would not work for them and they would go out of business.
Nobody is forced to work at Wal-Mart... There are plenty of other opportunities out there.

...Because they are illegal aliens - and don't have the right to vote? George Soros has actually stated that "only allowing American citizens to vote for US politicians is a problem, since American policies have so much effect on the rest of the world" I think many on this board would agree with him...

Cody Farjardo and his team had a great game to overcome Berkeley in the season opener.
I'm so happy for Cody! I wonder if his dad was going nuts in the stands! WOOF-WOOF-WOOF!

The $50 Lesson Recently, while I was working in the flower beds in the front yard, my neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their dog. During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some ...

Re: Very sad news - Andrew Breibart dies at 43
Andrew Breitbart was a good man, and it's a shame we lost him at such a young age. He was an ethical journalist, and the reason the left hated him and say he was un-ethical because he didn't pull any punches and kicked them in the teeth. The left always tried to say he lied and edited videos, but ne...

I must have hit the truth nerve the other day with my post about free "stuff" (used a different S-word that JQP didn't like - for conservatives anyway...) JQP removed my post and gave me a warning.

Check out this site: http://www.ringospictures.com/index.php?page=20110501 I see from another thread that some of the left wingers are actually going with the "give socialism/communism a chance" talking point ("since Capitalism is is causing the current economic woes") As Dr. Evil (Austin Powers) wo...
