Mr. Bongo: I don't believe you have a realistic grasp on Chief Petty Officer Kyle's mission during his combat deployments. War is a horrible thing. There are snipers in war. Their job is to kill the enemy. Unless you know a sniper personally with actual combat deployment, you are only guessing with ...

A solid post MDDad. Completely agree with you. The events we are seeing around the world are unprecedented. I understand the need for vacation, and I get that the President can read reports and respond from the toilet if need be. But golfing whilst some of the most serious developments in the world ...

1. He deserted. 2. This is a spectacular p.r. boner for the administration. 3. From interviews with his teammates, he displayed increasingly erratic and unusual behavior. 4. The UCMJ will only apply if someone very high up in command isn't preventing him from being punished. 5. He will have a very d...

Read the chapter on Benghazi. Then post your response.
Men died due to inaction by people who shouldn't be in high-level positions. The inaction of those listed in the Seals account of the incident is inexcusable. Criminal actually.

"In fact cops and firemen make a heck of a lot less then teachers over a nine month work period."
Completely false, if your making a statement about those in California.
Do you ever search the salary tables available online for police and especially firefighters?

Don't even start the discussion of O.C.F.D. compensation, where the average retirement is $140,000 per year.

Well said MDDad. Neighborhoods often get more expensive and harder to afford to live in. How many teachers that teach in Beverly Hills live there? What some don't discuss is the lifetime pensions and medical coverage that many teachers receive. I live next to a couple of retired educators that each ...

Justifying this is pure insanity. He should be removed and another put in his place that is compensated realistically. Makes you wonder how many situations such as this are out there in these spectacularly over-compensated positions.
Disgusting.

Lose their pension? I don't believe that's correct. That was one of the proposals In the last pension reform in Ca, but Governor Brown didn't go with it. I think that any public employee guilty of a felony or serious crime should automatically forfeit their pension. That would provide some incentive...
