Re: Palin/ Biden Debate

Should be fun to watch. Biden has to be careful. He has a way of saying some pretty stupid things. If he comes across like he is talking down to her it will hurt him bad. True. We've apparently accepted that she should be treated like a retarded child, so if he is "mean" then it will make him look ...

You hit that one out of the ballpark.

Re: It's official: The good old U.S.A is a socialist country

I'm not giving any politicians a free pass. Do you not agree we are moving into a socialistic society? I don't care about the past. Do you not see the trend now? Today? It is not a new trend "today." We have long had a system of a mix of capitalism and socialism. It will swing back and forth over t...

My two fantasy league QB's are Favre and Rivers. I started Rivers because the Chargers have had a long string of success against the Raiders. Rivers did okay, but Favre would have won my game for me already.

Re: It's official: The good old U.S.A is a socialist country

Unlike you i am not pointing fingers at individuals. I am pointing fingers at the "new ideals" of America. I despise these new ideals and if you want to support it, have at it. But these ideas aren't "new" unless you are using the geological clock. You just haven't been aware of it. Government subs...

Re: It's official: The good old U.S.A is a socialist country

Private business is one thing, holding paper on bad home loans is another. Socialism at it's best. Selling government bonds to directly fund private businesses is no less socialistic. Also, given your statement above, you must really dislike Palin, who engineered one of the largest redistributions ...

1. Barbara Boxer 2. George W. Bush Boxer, unlike Feinstein, does nothing for the state of California. Onlly through the ineptitude of the California Republican Party has she managed to stay in office. Bush has simply been the worst President of my lifetime whose mistakes are so numerous as to be a w...

There really isn't anything to argue about. Either you are aware of the longstanding economic tie between the Federal Government and private business or you are not.

Really? You're not sure why im surprised? Thought you were one of the smart guys. Well, I guess you just have not been paying attention to the long relationship between the Federal Government and corporations and/or big business. It's an old relationship, not a new one, and certainly not one foster...

Apparently since there was a negotiation once, and it didn't work, then negotiation doesn't work.

Not much to base that conclusion on that hypothesis.

Re: Talking is Good

Saddam had used WMDs in the past on his own people and on Iran. Saddam tried to create an ecological disaster at the end of GWI by torching Kawati and his own oil fields. Saddam bluffed us, and the UN, by intimating that he had WMDs, and refusing inspections. Saddam threatened to use WMDs if he was...

Re: Talking is Good

The only issue is the tons of Uranium "yellow cake" that were found. Though not weapons grade, and under the review of the UN, one wonders why he needed so much of it. . That yellow cake had nothing to do with the issue of WMD. It had been under the control of the IAEA since the first Gulf War. It ...
