Can't some conservatives talk some sense into Devin Nunes? The man is nonstop in making an ass of himself.

I wonder how many of their viewers read that and thought, "yeah, we should cut off aid to ALL the Mexican countries!"

Re: First Charges filed by Mueller

It’s over. The issue was the fantasy that a US president plotted with the commies to steal an election. It didn’t happen, as has been obvious to most for some time. Obvious as long as you ignored the significant circumstantial evidence and discounted the continued lies by the President himself. Now...

Re: First Charges filed by Mueller

Trump reading an entire report! That's a chuckle and a half. He probably couldn't finish Barr's four page letter about the report.

I doubt if Barr even read the whole report. He had his letter out in less than two days. Doesn't seem likely that he went through it very thoroughly.

Re: First Charges filed by Mueller

‘ What did they all have in common? Prolonged exercises in wishful thinking. Depends on how you are using "prolonged" and "wishful thinking." In comparison to Whitewater, Mueller's probe was quite short. Whitewater was "prolonged." It took eight years. It was also multiple times more expensive. As ...

Re: First Charges filed by Mueller

I gotta say I'm very impressed by the Republicans' offense on this. They put the entire team on the field to hammer on the "total exoneration" point to try and de-legitimize any other investigations, at least in the eyes of the believers. And I think the only effective check on it would have to com...

And oh, Gohmert is definitely one of the dumbest people in Congress. I might go with Inhofe due to his extreme scientific illiteracy, though he might not be stupid--he just knows his constituency is.

I believe the official number of indictments out of the Mueller probe was 39. One of the most productive Special Counsel investigations ever.

Re: Notable Deaths - 2019

Senator Birch Bayh, 91.

Bayh authored the 25th and 26th Amendments. Imagine that--we're so ossified now that even the thought of one amendment seems impossible. He wrote two.

He also authored Title IX, arguably one of the most impactful laws of the last half century.

Re: "the inevitable disaster that will be the Trump Administration"

Is there not any aspect of Trump, his administration, or private organizations, that isn't steeped in corruption? A major Trump fundraiser, Elliot Broidy, is under investigation for money laundering: "Broidy served as a major Trump campaign fundraiser and was the national deputy finance chair of the...

The calmness in the tones in your responses indicate you all (luckily) have no experience in knowing the rage and unimaginable horror experienced by the loved ones left to deal and morn the evil inflicted by the condemned. There are many including myself that can empathize with them, and see zero r...

This is probably a better entry for the locked WTF thread... Trump has been photographed at multiple events with the owner of the massage parlor that Robert Kraft was busted for frequenting.
