Re: Costelli headed to Mission Viejo

Chad Johnson has a long way to go to catch up to Bob Johnson when it comes to picking up transfers from SM. Bob brought in Jordan Palmer, Jed Collins and Mark Sanchez from SM. All three went on to have careers in the NFL. This off season SM has lost players to Bosco, MV, Jserra and San Clemente. San...

Re: Costelli headed to Mission Viejo

I hate to say this but Costelli will not be the last one to transfer from SM. There are several more on the way out and most likely headed to MV. They better bring in a coach at the level of Matt Logan or they may have to forfeit their Trinity League games next year. The limited talent they have lef...

Costelli headed to Mission Viejo

SM has lost another one. Sophomore QB Peter Costelli has transferred to MV. The firing of Coach Fisher has been a disaster for SM football. They better find a big time coach soon or they will not be able to field a team next year.

Re: Did the creation of the Trinity League help cause some of the problems plaguing HS sports?

You put SM in the South Coast League and they are a 2nd or 3rd place team. They have a losing record against MV. I believe they are 2-4. They are 1-1 against Tesoro and I believe losing record against San Clemente. SM has a great weight room but that's about it for football. All the other South Coas...

Re: Did the creation of the Trinity League help cause some of the problems plaguing HS sports?

The problem is not the Trinity League it is Mater Dei and Bosco. The other Trinity League teams are inferior to public schools like MV and CC. The 4 county all star teams with their rent a player programs make it impossible for others to compete. It is time for the other Trinity teams to refuse to p...

Re: Transfer News? It’s that time of year again!

SM better hurry up and find a coach. While they're searching for a coach players are transferring. Brendan Warady one of their best sophmores transferred to Mission Viejo this week.

Re: Rollinson's Last Season

Are these players that returned to Rancho Cucamonga now residing in the same homes that they lived in prior to leaving for MD. It sure brings into question the change of residence requirement for last season. Maybe some DLS supporter could hire a private investigator to look into the move. I’m sure ...

Re: Rollinson's Last Season

Can someone explain how a student at MD can graduate early to attend college when they don’t meet the graduation requirements of the Diocese. I guess it should not come as a surprise that one of those entitled MD players has already run out on his signed commitment to USC after two weeks at the scho...

Re: Rollinson's Last Season

There are at least 5 starting players from MD’s football team that didn’t show up for the start of the second seamester. I guess that is one way of getting around the religious education requirement. Disgraceful.

Re: Chad Johnson to SMCHS?

I can’t believe Sulick and Hartigan would fire an outstanding man and coach like Rich Fisher if they didn’t already have a commitment from a new hand picked coach. I believe this application period is just something they had to go through. Fisher believed in coaching up his players and competing wit...

Re: Thoughts on Trinity league baseball for 2019 season?

It will be a few years for MD to rebuild. They lost Call’s son to Capo and one of their best pitchers transferred to Jserra.

Re: Thoughts on Trinity league baseball for 2019 season?

Jserra baseball will be fine. They did lose 3 transfers to Capo and 2 to SM but they picked up 3 transfers that are better players. The players that left were not going to play much at Jserra.

Re: Chad Johnson to SMCHS?

SM may have missed the OC last season but they certainly didn’t miss the defensive coordinator. I thought Fisher was a good coach but his teams never played much defense. They scored 56 pts. in a playoff game against Murrieta Valley and still lost the game.

Re: Chad Johnson to SMCHS?

I hope Costelli stays at SM but it does not looking promising. Mr. Costelli made it real clear yesterday with his twitter post that he was not happy about SM’s decision to fire his son’s coach.

Re: Chad Johnson to SMCHS?

It’s a sad time for SM football. Coach Fisher is an outstanding coach and a fine man. He was well liked by his players and the parents. Definitely the type of man I would want coaching my son. What he needed at SM was a defensive coordinator. This move is because of Fisher’s unwillingness to get inv...

He didn't help his cause with that disgraceful spitting incident in state bowl game. Why take a chance on a player that lacks D1 size, speed and now displays poor character traits? No Thanks

It’s great to see Akili Arnold win Orange County Defensive Player of the Year. The most deserving and a player that actually resides in Orange County.

Re: Logan Loya is leaving OLU Guess to where?

Last free agent season MD picked up Sean Dollars from Rancho Cucamonga. Dollars turned out to be a nice backup to Harper for his senior year but it cost MD the most productive RB in the Trinity League in Chris Street. Street being a Junior will be the best returning RB in the league for 2019. If Loy...

Helton and his staff also picked Max Browne as their starter over Sam Darnold. It is time again for Helton to admit his mistake and name Jack Sears as the starter next week. With SC’s line you can’t have a potted plant in the pocket playing QB.

Re: JSerra stadium question

Its a sweet on campus high school stadium. Small but has great atmosphere. I really enjoyed the games I’ve watched there and wish SM would do something similar on their campus. If you plan to get there at game time you better have tickets and someone inside saving you a seat. There will be zero park...
