Re: Ann Romney: 'We've Given 'All You People Need To Know'

Newsflash, Clint: If the voters don't remember them, that pretty much means they weren't significant. Don't like "Green ideology", eh? I take it you don't separate your garbage? And you righties and your "shoved down our throats" fantasies. What's up with that? Oh, I just I LOVE it when conservativ...

Re: What is leadership?

I heard a decent analogy yesterday, indirectly, from Peter Drucker (the person relating it heard it from Drucker): A leader is the one who leaves the "troops" on the ground, climbs the tree, and scopes out where they can go and how they can get there. The leader then descends to the ground and takes...

 You are allowed to hold any opinions you like, but you aren't allowed to post them all on the forums. I see. So when you express untoward opinions about Trog's, or my, or Red's, or any conservative's behavior, that's O.K., but we're not allowed to express untoward opinions about anyone else's...

Creating threads to complain about threads created about other complaints is over the top. Goo and Brooke... the mods don't like you and them refusing to admit this should not keep you from your day jobs. Move past it and enjoy life. Thanks for your concern, RPW... Re: 'If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that.

It wasn't the truth, business owners DO have their own skin in the game. His whole point was that they didn't achieve success by themselves, and that's the truth.. No, unfortunately, that was not his "whole" point. Had he stopped there, no one would have disagreed with him. However, he went ON to s...

Re: You're wrong, Moderator

A thought before I check out for a while. This is a forum on the internet. Our personas are only words on a page. We can't see each other. We can't tell how big or small a person is, how old he is, the color of his hair, how he dresses or if he's showered recently. If a person doesn't like us it ca...

Nope. I've already stated quite clearly that I think it's a shame when any candidate behaves this way. Dave...really, the irony and hypocrisy you demonstrate on this point is just too much. I can say I think it's a shame when any candidate does this but you can't, and you certainly can't credibly a...

JQP wants us to delete inappropriate posts. That's why when you are warned for a post that was deleted you can no longer go to the offending post, and that's why we now include the text of the offending post with the warning. This seems to have no effect on your level of understanding since you sti...

Re: 'If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that.

1. Do you really think business owners should be insulted by the truth? It wasn't the truth, business owners DO have their own skin in the game. They have gotten help along the way, in most cases, but typically do not let the gubbermint make them successful, as Obama said they do. So it is irreleva...

Re: The "Swiftboating" of Mitt Romney

I can understand the desire that no candidate play fast and loose with the facts, but while we're talking about that, did Obama or his campaign say that Romney was a felon, or did they say that he might be a felon? I think it was the latter. I agree. Sadly, it wouldn't be a new low for his opponent...

I read lips.

And, FTR, your snopes connection doesn't say I don't ... just says it's difficult (with which I would concur).

Re: The "Swiftboating" of Mitt Romney

Totally agree. I know Dems that said exactly that. It was, "if he won't stick up for himself, will he stick up for me?" The real reason for conservatives being born again regarding negative campaigns is they see the tactic they perfected now being used against them and they know (I'm sure they have...

I cited the Foxnews article by the same title in another thread this morning. Vilepagan disagrees that Obama lied about "you" not building your business. I think he started out O.K. noting that everyone has HELP along the way ... but ended poorly by stating that business owners did not build their b...

Re: Obama GUTS Clinton WELFARE REFORM; NO MORE “WORK” FOR WE

The answer was given in the last line of the excerpt that was cited: He pitched the changes as a response to states burdened by current rules and guidelines. A lot of states are having a budget crunch right now, and rather than having the feds cut them off for non-compliance with the regs, the feds...

Re: You're wrong, Moderator

OTOH, Obama refuses to own his own misbehavior and, so, SHOULD apologize for his misdeeds. The former is a sign of weakness (arbitrarily accepting blame for something you didn't do). The latter is a sign of leadership (manning up and owning your missteps, learning from them, and moving on). Due to ...

Why in the world would he do this? He is crapping in Bill face. The Clintoons and the Obama's do not get along very well. Bill has been heard to deal several off-handed remarks about the president, particularly when he does stuff like this. "Hate" is too strong a word, IMO, but I have heard that ad...

What is leadership?

It's been asked in here several times with, IMO, insufficient responses (or no responses), including from me. I read this article , however, that seems to address the topic pretty well. A synopsis of the author's points: Let go The more you learn to delegate the better your leadership will appear to...
