Yet you refer to the actions of these groups as representing "gays".

Re: 9th District to hear Pro-Gay case ... big surprise

They used a website to publish the names of those who donated to Prop. 8, and then researched to find out if those people owned a business which could be hurt by going public. I think it ended up hurting their cause more than helping. And the fact that it ended up hurting their cause is ok by me. T...

Re: 9th District to hear Pro-Gay case ... big surprise

My Dad was born on a farm in Missouri, and he had a lot of nicknames for some common afflictions that we all have. One of those nicknames is your web-site name and I can't help but be reminded of my Dad ( He passed away 7 years ago next month from Cancer) and chuckle every time you post something a...

Re: 9th District to hear Pro-Gay case ... big surprise

I don't know the organization. I don't know if they were saying that they were speaking for all gays. I only know that they did it and they used it to intimidate people and it didn't go over well during the last election. Ok, well then, I guess I can go along with that. :) Gays are not the first gr...

They also boycotted and tried to run people out of business who donated money to Prop. 8. I would consider this an attempt at intimidation and pretty classless.
I would consider boycotting to be a perfectly acceptable form of protest, recommended over other forms even.

Re: 9th District to hear Pro-Gay case ... big surprise

The gay community built a website that did so. I'm sure you knew that. Would it be possible for you to be more specific than "the gay community" and "a website"? Are you talking about the actions of a group or organization? I'd like to know the name of the organization that speaks for all gays....o...

Re: 9th District to hear Pro-Gay case ... big surprise

I didn't thank you ... "Since you're not in my head and apparently have no idea what I mean, I think I'll stick with what I wrote, thank you. " I guess you didn't mean to thank me, but you did say "thank you". and you apparently don't know the difference ... but <shrug> whatever. Me: Actually, I do...

Re: 9th District to hear Pro-Gay case ... big surprise

Since you're not in my head and apparently have no idea what I mean, I think I'll stick with what I wrote, thank you. But since I understand the difference between "infer" and "imply", I'll stick with my assertion that you meant "imply", and you're quite welcome. Blah, blah, blah ... that the best ...

Re: 9th District to hear Pro-Gay case ... big surprise

Nor have you made a case against this law. I believe the law is a clear violation of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution which guarantees all citizens the equal protection of the law. I believe the issue will eventually be settled by the USSC when they finally decide to hear a definitive case...

Re: 9th District to hear Pro-Gay case ... big surprise

Maybe not "stated," but definitely inferred. I think you mean "implied". I object to the homosexuals not settling for the "will of the people." Sometimes "the people" are wrong. In 1948 the California SC struck down a California law that made it illegal for black persons to marry whites on the grou...

Re: 9th District to hear Pro-Gay case ... big surprise

Nevertheless, you did tacitly agree with my opening post (but for the "bad law" part ... which was what that court did the FIRST time Californians tried to preserve the term "marriage," you'll recall). Actually, I doubt we do agree on this point. You've made some insinuations, but you haven't reall...

Forgive me, I didn't want others to think I agreed with you. To clarify my position, I think that the court will honestly and appropriately throw out a bad law.
