another one I would keep an eye on 4-5 years down the road is Simi Valley. Coach is Jim Benkert (Westlake/Oaks Christian where he got railroaded out despite success)- if he stays at Simi Valley they will eventually have the athletes to compete-and draw kids from Moorpark all the way east on 118.

I see the same. Kid looks shaky; wouldn't be surprised if he's at another school in 2020 (or at the least there is an open QB competition).

From what I saw-I'm not convinced that Carroll/Guyer could compete with MD/SJB. They would both have a hard time with CC/JSerra/MV also. JSerra's 2021 class pretty loaded from what I hear. They compete for some, but not all, of the same players.

why would he go to MD? Carroll is a top-notch program with great tradition and coaching. Not the same level of talent (especially at skill spots) as you would have at MD or Bosco though.

I was just in Texas and watched Southlake Carroll play Guyer (2 state top-10 teams) live. If you put the Carroll sophomore QB Quinn Ewers into MD/Bosco, they wouldn't miss a beat. Very similar to JT Daniels in HS-that good.
