Re: servite/crespi

"Thanks for the kind words regarding the MD players. The way you react in situations like that says a lot more about you as a young man than what's on the scoreboard...but that was quite a stomping you guys put on us." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

Re: servite/crespi

Hey, we're not all bad. Don't make me go back and un-enjoy reading your posts...[/quote] Pshaw - Don't misunderstand - I thought Red was a bitter public school guy. He's a Monarch homer, and that's fine, but, on balance, he's the pot calling the kettle black re transfers. I will admit Crespi ...

Re: servite/crespi

Red's an MD guy who likes to point fingers at other programs for having them do the exact same thing they do (albeit the other programs are now better at it than MD). However I didn't hear peep after the MD player transferred to help the basketball team in effect 20% of the starting basketball team...

Re: servite/crespi

Hey ventura! How many transfers does crespi have this year? Last year you had what....7 transfers? We all know you have two more this year that are not eligible. How many are eligible this year? Hey, Red!! You sound a little bitter. Crespi has one transfer playing that I know of. He came from a sch...

Re: servite/crespi

Watching that Crespi / MD game on the FOX Sports replay kinda sucks...they cut out about 3-4 TD drives and jumped too far ahead. Yeah, if I recall, they cut to near the end of the game after Woods scored on a 50 yard run up the middle. That took the wind out of MD's sails and Crespi took it to them...

Servite is a lock.......It won't be as close as some think.

A lock? Won't be close? Crespi fans heard a LOT of that before last year's Mater Dei game. And it wasn't close, that's true.

Re: Crespi readies for Servite

As per the CIF-SS, Sergiofeld Sylvestre of Crespi was restricted on August 9. As of Sept. 11 he remains restricted from playing all sports, on all levels through August 9, 2009. Brandon Graves of Crespi was denied a hardship waiver on August 22 and is currently restricted from participating in bask...

Re: Hurls lock of the week....Week 2

This will make it 2-0....In case your bad at math, this is only the second week. And for everyones information: The Hurl lock of the week will be the same as the Hurl pool pick.. So im rooting hard for Servite. I was actually looking for a little more history - thought I remembered seeing yo...

Re: servite/crespi

I'm sure Coach Thomas can give you directions. #-o I'm interested to know if the Celts remodeled the entire stadium or just the track and field. This rematch will be the wars of all wars. It's just too bad that the Mater Dei-Centennial game will be played concurrently. Had to flip a coin. Go...

Re: servite/crespi

Ventura, I have always enjoyed your posts. Always intelligent, balanced and fair. I missed the Crespi/Servite playoff game last season because I was out of town. I'd have much rather been at Home Depot Stadium that night. What a disappointment when the friars lost by such a small margin in a tough ...

Re: servite/crespi

Ventura, I was surprised to see the Celts ranked so high this year especially after their top 4 players on both sides of the ball graduated. Shanks and Woods were their best ball carriers as well as their best DB/LB. Fauria was their go-to guy as a WR and was also a dominant DE and finally Fields wa...

Re: Servite vs Clovis West

I know we had some bad calls but I was very suprised at the number of fans on the Servite side that have no idea what is a penalty and was is not. Make no mistake we sat thru some "home cooking" but if you don't now the rules "booing" a call you have no idea what it is...makes no sense. Also the bo...

Re: servite/crespi

I'm pulling for Servite considering the Serra League needs to be beaten for beating OLU. I don't think it'll be a blow out either way, definitely low scoring much like last year's game. Crespi is probably favored by a FG or so. I'm probably picking Servite this week in the pool against my better ju...

servite/crespi

First big game for Crespi. First game that will be a measuring stick. The Utah opponent remains an unknown for me, and Birmingham is evidently weak this year. I was surprised to see the Celts not out-physicalled last year in the semis vs. the Friars. I will be very curious Friday to see how that par...
