If I recall correctly, the Circle Jerks were there as well, but I can't be certain.

I saw the Jerks twice at the Cucoo's nest, so who knows. That was a long time ago.

Many moons, huh ... I roadied for a local band (The Chums) that "opened" for the Circle Jerks at the Nest. Cuckoo's Nest owner, Jerry Roach, was one creepy guy ...

The Cuckoo's Nest! I couldn't remember the name of the place. I saw the Ramones there. Fun show.

I would much rather see someone in a small venue. Arena and coliseum concerts are boring. Actually I really miss out Pacific Symphony Orchestra seats at the Segerstom for the pops. If you've never been it's a really fun evening and the venue has unreal acoustics

Long story, but worth it.

I was sitting at home, minding my own business when my wife was watching Celtic Women on PBS. She loved it so much, she wrote down the number and walked in and said "Wow, this would be a great Anniversary present" (I love it when she does that). I called, ordered six orchestra tickets at the Greek, as well as the catered meal package, and forgot about it. My wife went and bought the CD and listened to it incessently for months.

Two weeks before the show, my wife tells me we still don't have the tickets, and the show is coming up fast. I called PBS (OC or LA, not sure) and was apologized to profusely. They told me they would overnight the tickets, and they did. However, I couldn't find the seat numbers on the Greek Map, I was sure that we were in the nosebleeds somewhere due to the lateness of the tickets being sent. We went and had our food (very good) and went to look for our seats. I went up to an usher and asked for help, and he walked me and my family +1 guest up to front row center. I couldn't believe it.

During the show, my daughters sang to nearly every song (as they had listened to the CD with mom for months). They were really into the show (it was a great show, even surprised me). I noticed that the performers would spend a lot of time looking at my girls, but thought nothing of it. At halftime I went to get a beer, and came back to see my wife talking to the stage manager. Apparently, the ladies really loved the fact that our daughters were so into the music, they asked if we could come back stage after the show to meet them. We got to go back stage, eat, drink, and talk to the ladies and the producer, etc. We were even able to get some friends of ours invited in (parents of the +1). My kids still smile when we talk about that concert.
