Can't speak for others.

But optimism always helped pay my mortgage, buy groceries, and pay other bills.

The best part is when my optimism paid for my children's college tuition and my vacations in far away places.

Omar posted this on the other thread.
The fact checkers are debunking his false claims one by one...he kept talking about "inheriting a mess" from Obama but he just pulled that out of his considerable ***, of course...

Comparing Trump's 35 months in office to Obama's last 35 months:

New jobs/mo:
Trump - 191,000
Obama - 227,000

Lowered unemployment rate by:
Trump - 1.2%
Obama - 2.0%

Real Wage Growth
Trump - 0.6%
Obama - 1.1%

GDP Growth:
Trump - 2.5%
Obama - 2.5%
Whose payrolls are soaring exactly?
They told me if I voted for Hillary Clinton the president would be emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable. They were right. I voted for Hillary Clinton and got a president that is emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable.

Private payrolls soar in January, the best monthly gain in nearly 5 years. 291,000 new jobs!

Private jobs not government jobs. And I have a link.

That's good news. But only half as good as Obama.

I just read that the rise in wages is due to the states that have passed a mandatory increase in the minimum wage.

Maybe because Trump told his cult not to believe the numbers..

When the U-3 started to improve during Obama's economy the conservative noise leapt into action. They demanded that the real unemployment number was the U-6.

Conservatives never cared about U-6 until Obama was elected. The vast majority of people didn't know there was such a thing. Up until Conservatives discovered that they could make positive news look bad by saying "But real unemployment is 12.1%," U-6 had mainly been used by academics and economists to study labor utilization and not much else. The two numbers can move independently and U-6 will always be considerably higher than U-3, so bringing it into the discussion isn't much more than a distraction.

But they knew their idiot supporters would parrot them.

Guess which number they use now to tout Trump's economy?

Hint, it isn't U-6.

Amazing what's possible when the party of fiscal responsibility looks the other way at trillion dollar deficits.

"The deficit" wasn't an important number during Obama's term and it still isn't. "Why do you care?"

The GOP constantly railed against Obama for the deficits he both inherited and incurred.

True. Obama is not running. The recovery started long before Trump took office. One of the good things he has done is not blow it up. But it is stalling.
