The Chamber of Commerce is bringing an Aviation Summit to Ontario to address the future of aviation and the economic impact it has on the city, region, and country.
This exciting program will be held on Tuesday, March 27th, 2007 from 8:00a-2:00p. Speakers include Phil Boyer, President and CEO of the AOPA and Jim Ream, President/CEO of ExpressJet Airlines. Locally sponsored by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and brought to you by the County of San Bernardino Economic Development Agency, Guardian Jet Center, and LA/Ontario International Airport, this half day summit will give local business professionals, elected officials, and citizens the opportunity to learn more from the nationwide experts about the impact that travel and tourism has on our country.
The Summit will address the following issues:
- Impact of Travel & Tourism on the U.S. and State Economies
- Spurring growth in an industry that has been adversely impacted by recent extraordinary events
- Pursue travel and tourism related policies and programs, particularly with regard to international inbound travel promotion and homeland security policies including visas and entry/exit systems
- Advance a broader understanding of the national economic contributions made by the travel and tourism industry
