Tourism's no turkey …Say what you want about Disneyland's California Adventure. The somewhat lightly visited theme park next to Disney's original will get a billion-dollar face-lift. Not only will that spending alone be a local boon, the promise of added tourist lure is bound to have long-run benefits. And it's not like the local tourist trade is suffering. Local hotel rates are up this year 8.8 percent through August, according to PKF. And passengers are storming to John Wayne Airport even when it isn't a holiday weekend. For 2007's first 10 months, passenger traffic was up 5.7 percent.
