Sports Challenge and Trivia

Post by Charles »

Name eight ways to get on first base.
Who was the Lakers leading scorer in the 1990s?
What happened to the Los Angeles Angels of the PCL?
Who preceded the legendary Bob Miller as the voice of the LA Kings?
What is the only team besides the Lakers to be the boston celtics [spits to cleanse the mouth] in the NBA finals?

Name eight ways to get on first base.

Who was the Lakers leading scorer in the 1990s? 1. Shaquille O'Neal 2. Elden Campbell 3. Vlade Divac 4. Nick Van Exel 5. Eddie Jones

What happened to the Los Angeles Angels of the PCL? They moved to Spokane the year the Dodgers came to L.A. from Brooklyn.

Who preceded the legendary Bob Miller as the voice of the LA Kings?

What is the only team besides the Lakers to be the boston celtics [spits to cleanse the mouth] in the NBA finals? St. Louis Hawks

1. Single, walk, hit by pitch, third strike past ball, error, infield single, catcher interference, pinch run?

Not if you count the 1990-2000 season as part of the 1990s, which it was. Ask joefutbol.

Good call. I guess an infield single and a single would technically be the same thing.

8. Tearfully relate how your fiancee was killed in a kiln accident. Often good for a stand-up double.

Not being a baseball fan, I wasn't even thinking of walk and hit by pitch as two different things.

Yes, if the cutoff is the 1998-1999 season then you are correct. If you include the 1999-2000 season as part of the 1990s then Shaq edges him out.

P.S. Dear Wikipedia: 1990-1999 is not a decade.

OK, next time I'll specify 1990-99.

Ultimate wingman play but probably cost him the round tripper.

No, that's the actual top five scorers of the decade (1990-91 team through 1999-2000 team). A guy named Truth should know that.

My mistake, but come on, it was a little funny.
