yeah, it's not an easy tune and it certainly isn't uplifting. Maybe they could just keep that song for funerals or other depressing events and have a happier national anthem. Have you ever seen the people of Australia sing their national anthem? They truly look very happy --:--

I've always thought it was a greet idea to sing the National Anthem before any sporting event if for no other reason than to piss off the ideologically obssessed like Charles, Paul and Cal.

I was at a Dodger game once where they re-enacted the raising of the flag on Iwo Jima on the pitcher's mound and it actually turned my stomach.

The National Anthem is a great tradition.

I can do without God Bless America. If there is a god, he certainly wouldn't be giving his blessing to the United States.
