Joe Gibbs and Dick Vermeil disagree.

Still not sold.

Got anyone that took a break from NFL then popped up in college? (With success)

It will be Chris Peterson at close to $4 mil per year, $3 mil asst coach budget, and no AD approval for asst coach hires. Could be announced as soon as Saturday.

As a point of reference Neuheisel made $1.3 mil with a $1.2 mil asst coach budget and he had to get AD approval for assistant hires.

Mooch was in the running post Karl Dorell (your twin)

Vermeil won a superbowl
Gibbs won a NASCAR championship

If not Peterson, Mooch is my guy. Team Mooch

Sounds good on the surface but how sure is the information you are receiving? I read on other boards the guy is all family and mountain living... LA may be too busy for him. I know the money is coming from the new TV deal and PAC12 sharing but that is a significant bump on income.

He has been able to pull quality kids out of California do you think he can get to stay?

How will he battle the system (USC) here in SoCal?

Yeah but that was just after Mooch failed in Detroit... he was fresh.

Gibbs didn't 'make' all those left turns... he only paid someone to drive.

I like Mooch but I could not stand his inability to step on the neck of team he had down. Gave up way too many 4th qtr comebacks.

BTW... where is Dorell?

We should know within the next week if my info is good. The money is coming from the new TV deal and a few of very influential people who have lead this deal. I'm surprised the media has not asked Guerrero why he fired Neuheisel prior to the end of the season, when throughout the season he stated that he wouldn't fire Rick until the season was over.

Peterson will definitely be able to get the recruits committed, the question is will UCLA let them in. The GPA difference of incoming players between the Boise and UCLA is significant, UCLA admissions will need to adjust. (like Cal did).

Mike Leach hired by Washington State. I was hoping UCLA would get him.

You mean the holistic admission process at CAL is unfair?

Via Twitter:

Mack Brown to retire this Saturday after the Baylor game.
This would make Texas the #1 job in all the lands.

OV? any truth to the twitter rumor?

At this point it's only a rumor coming from a Kansas radio station jock. UT gives the rumor no substance.

He was all over Sports Center this AM talking about his "decision".
Between that and the Heisman commercial that starts with MB and ends with MB, the Trojan PR machine looks to be in full swing.

Matt has filed initial papers with the NFL so he can begin to receive information on
the level of draft position expectations.
His action by no means he's made a decision to declare.
