The great thing about the Oregon Ducks' black helmet is the waterproofing. Should benefit the Friars.

Yeah... pretty sick looking. Servite players will be wearing them during the All-Star game.

I'm sure Fryer and Sondheimer will both write front-page feature articles. This kind of impact story can't be ignored.

Neither one from what I can tell have been anywhere near a football practice.

Flat black also looks better smeared on three white stripes after a big hit.

I should take a picture of the helmet after practice. White, Red and Blue show up pretty nice on it.

No need. They won't be playing late into the season this year.

Unfortunately, flags happen way too often in HS football. Too many flags often change the pace of HS games. The great thing about D1 football is that the refs will let you play, unless there is a significant violation at the point of attack. I hate watching HS zebras calling a hold away/behind the play. Its usually a superior OL trying to keep a slug of his legs.

Really looking forward to watching Servite run the ball this year. Like last year vs Edison I expect 8 yds./carry avg. The difference this year vs last is that Troy doesn't have a young QB to groom and he will keep it on the ground. Buckle 'em up Trinity. Edac please lead the Bone chant if Troy decides to throw more than 12 x/ game.
