I would go with SC coach. Tough becasue he and ET's coach lost in the finals...Once Miller got his kids back he played better, with out they were so so.
I dont think HB coach should be it, HB had as much talent as any team in the PAC 5 (including SM) at the skill positions, they had more than many in the play offs, per Bob Johnson. They were just short handed up front, only one stud an couple kids that got alot out of their 215# body. If they had a couple more rugged linemen they would done more damage and beat MV.

SC Coach. What he accomplished in the midst of controversy is commendable.

Agreed - give it to Coach Miller. Others are also deserving, but it's hard not to acknowledge what his team achieved this year.

Success with challenge: Coach Hamro took over as head coach in late August and successfully motivated and led his team all the way to the finals. When all seemed to be falling apart, he kept it together for those young men and gave them a great year.

I would like to change my vote to Rollo's mustache.

Not the man, but the mustache.

We all have placed way more importance to this board and what a few postings by a few people represent. Chatter on this board is fun and we assume that because of about 2-8 posters from a given school that somehow there is more excitement to any given program.

Servite and Trinity schools in general have a greater representation on these boards and when they are winning more posts.

But lets not take it that these few represent some large majority of fans.

Welch had arguably the best dual-threat quarterback since Aaron Corp, and the best offensive line in recent memory, yet he still lost two games to inferior teams. Nobody accomplished more under very adverse circumstances than Hamro, and he deserves the award.

I agree, but not with Welch, anyhow he won last year. So, I put Hamro at #1 because he accomplished what no coach had to do under the most trying of circumstances. Hamro did it for the team, and now it's time to do it for him!

Welch..no...he has the best player in OC and that has nothing to do with him...

Ramon what did Lo do to deserve it? They should have been 10-0 this season and other on the staff know it?

This is a hard one. No particular order.

Welch-vote for the job he did, not the alleged character flaws. Not a bad turn around.

Frith- Another great turn around for a program, and he's elevating the level of competition next year with the league change.

Lo- I remember playing these guys for four years and witnessed the increase every year. We weren't a PAC-5 team and we could clober them in the beginning. Now they are ligitimately a PAC-5 level team.

Miller- Does a consistent job, just never got the big one until now. Again vote the job, not the man. I actually like him, but some don't.

Hamro- He did do a great job under less than average circumstances. I have a hard time believing he should be coach of the year considering the changes in coordinators and the fact that he didn't build the program, he inherited it. Still.... he did a great job keeping those athletes motivated.

Jesus- He must be communicating with Fryer and Rollo. How does 4-6 rank top 10 in the county? I agree with the justifications that Fryer gives, but when you read "4-6 in the top ten", doesn't that look funny?
