The hushed crowd added a strange feeling to the whole scene. I knew it was serious when the Servite side stood up and said a prayer in unison.

Hope the kid is alright. The earlier injury was most likely a concussion. The kid was sitting up, but was taken by ambulance as a precaution.
I haven't been able to find anything put out today, but Andrew Canales posted last night that in the later, seemingly more serious injury, the young man's leg was reportedly moving, and that while he was on the stretcher he was seen to be giving a thumb's up. A hopeful sign, indeed. I hope all of those players are okay. Along the same vein, has anyone heard how the younger Etiaki is doing?

A doubt that Pauu is the best player on the team? Yes, a lot of doubt.

Harvey Eteaki is out for a LONG time. He had surgery following the game. He broke his leg and the bones that hold the foot and ankle together.

Wow! That's bad news. Hope he recovers 100% and the same goes for the Swordsmen injured. Thanks for the update BoJack.

Do you know how the 3rd injury player is doing? How scary for his family and and friends.

Is he one of these injuries? What is his status now?

I know this kid... coached him in Corona JAAF. He was connected to a Servite Alum that played at Michigan State.

According the the Whittier Daily, he is the one injured when the game was called at the 3:02 mark. Haven't heard anything else.

I found his twitter acct. and he says he got home from the hospital on the 29th, and although he was feeling like he got hit by a truck, he is ok.
