Moore 5 to Southwest Division to replace Seaview League 5 teams which would go to Pac 5 and be worked in with South Coast League a la Marmonte League approach - a North and South.

Long Beach Poly to Trinity to replace the removed Santa Margarita and JSerra.
I would like to see Poly and Lakewood out of the Moore as well, and move the other 5 to southwest or even lower.
The South part (SeaView) does not belong in the Pac5 now or later. Just like the Marmonte should have before, and will next year, have the North in one Division, and the South in a lower Division.

The trouble with most of our suggestions here is that we're talking about football only. Maybe the answer is to just approach the playoffs differently. So in this case, all but MV and Tesoro would be eligible to compete in the SW Div playoffs - kind of like what they do for basketball. I've seen teams from the same league compete in 3 different playoff divisions.

Makes league placement a little less important.

If Tesoro was beaten 55-7 what do you suppose San Juan Hills might get beat by? Heavens to Betsy.

SW just got tougher if that format holds true.

Here is a suggestion which Norcal teams use, and which follows the state game:

4 Playoff Divisions affecting Southern Section-only play 3 playoff games

Open:Large private School Leagues (ie Trinity, Serra) and Teams with highest "power" points (ie...league you play in, record, strength of schedule, enrollment..ie Poly, MV, Westlake, Edison/San Clemente in certain years)
Division 1: enrollment based +/-2,500 students and up (don't know exact # state uses)
Division 2: enrollment based 1,500 to 2,500 students
Division 3: below 1,500 and small private schools.

reduce the number of playoff game, especially if they are going to have that lame "play in" game. Seems like an easy fix.
