What will Rolo do when he retires? I'd say he'll end up doing games on Friday night on Fox Sports West. Have you ever seen him interviewed on there? He always ends it up saying something good about Fox. And, he's got a great personality, people love that voice of his, he's perfect for the job. Go Fox!

I would think he wants to get 1 more CIF ring before calling it a career, and maybe even a State Title.

Funny how Lara wins 5 titles with Poly in the same time that Rollo wins zero. And Poly fans run Lara out.

What spell has Rollo put on MD fans? He just hasn't gotten it done in a long time. Time for a change.

since the Monarchs last won a CIF Title in Football, 1999 in which they tied with Long Beach Poly, I think there was no overtime since then, they have made the CIF Finals 3 times, 2002(lost to Los Alamitos), 2012(lost to Long Beach Poly), and last year 2013 in which they lost to St. John Bosco

I suppose there are those who believe that three Pac-5 championship game appearances in the last 13 years makes it time for a change. If that's true, I guess every Pac-5 coach who hasn't been to at least four of them during that same period should resign first. I'm pretty sure there's a bunch of them.

wasn't criticizing Rollinson so much right there, that's not what I intended, but I wonder if anyone here can see Rollo winning another Pac-5 title before he retires

Two Pac5 championship game losses in 9 years. Edison had two championship games losses before fleeing the Pac5. Come on, man, you're Mater Dei. MD and Serra are the only 2 TL teams who havent won a Pac5 title. You should be disappointed with that.

Well, fifteen years so far, is a long time between a division championship for a school
like MD,can't put a finger on it but what my gut feeling is telling me, I won't post about...

I'm surprised old time alum's haven't conveyed to the powers-at-be, - their concerns, some MD people I know have not donated to the school like
they would have because of the disappointments with the FB program, believe it
or not!

MD has gone longer without a division championship, from 1966-1990, only because of
a good number of those years, athletics were half heartedly supported by various
administrations, There was one,I believe; that wanted to turn it into a purely academic
school with athletics looked upon as recreational events!

(plus - you got the Vietnam war, drug scene, free love and civil rights all happening
until the late 70's or so during a good portion of this time. It was a great cultural/philosophical change in our nation!)
