dont be that guy
How are they pretending to be a public school? There is no tuition? Bitter much? SM is done and for some time, so we are now going to see you bash everything that does protect private privilege. We will hear of the vagaries of the MV program which cuts in to your private advantage narrative. It is going to be interesting to see your posts in the coming season...dont be that guy wrote:Why do they even pretend to be a public school program?

I do agree with MV being placed in the Trinity for football, other than that, looks like DBTG could use a refill...
All though it is a sound argument that next years Bosco won't be as good as this years, they return a lot who will have a year under their belt, and great coaching, they will be the number one team next year too.
To all the those who lament the loss of purity in HS FB, you have modern media to blame. The benefit of cable and internet streaming is getting to watch HS FB on TV but innocence is lost as it becomes influenced by profitability and winning P5 and State championships is going to get you a whole lotta attention. The programs around Bosco disintegrated and timing and opportunity created a vortex of talent that will continue flowing right to Bosco.
Going to be interesting to see how Olu, MD, Servite JSerra respond? Can any of them challenge Bosco? Will SM ever recover from the coaching blunder of the century? Will the Jackrabbits fade in to Lakewood obscurity? Will the ultra soft SCL be enough to keep a high powered program combat ready for the Pac 5 play-offs these are the questions pending...Everyone is now competing with SJB in D-1 and SJB has ALL the MO,
What will be noticeable right away is how SM will now be a cellar dweller and who knows...may be the rumble at the ranch can be revived! That is probably the best one could hope for in the near term.
SM is really going to suffer given the direction they are moving. Looking back will the HC hire benefit the school or hurt the school? Enrollment will drop, revenue will drop...I just do not see this hire working very well for the school, the answers will come soon enough and I hope I am way wrong on the future of SM.
The ability to underachieve come playoffs?"
Back to back against Dls, Victory over DBP, are you still there?? Until someone from the OC beats , let alone win 2 in a row against DLS when they win the Norcal championship. ****!! Let alone winning records against MD and LBP this century. I guess your right , they haven't built anything. LOL!!!!!
All that and you still can't beat Servite or win the big game...... that's too bad.Exocet 98 wrote:Back to back against Dls, Victory over DBP, are you still there?? Defending something Mission related. I feel dirty.
Guido - MV is better suited to play the Privates then the publics as a result of building a strong program. The Trinity league is one of the Top leagues in the country and Mission would be top 3 in that league most every year.CredoTown wrote: They'd get ripped apart in the Trinity...
MD beat has only beat MV 2 out of the last 7 meetings under the current staff, and if you really knew anything about the Trinity or MV you would know that, so you have no credibility and at best are ignorant or sociopathic.
Servite beat MV twice with their best teams, the first by only one point in a game MV lead most of, Props to Servite. SM beat beat MV twice 3 and 1 point margins. Bosco would have destroyed MV this year as they did most everyone.
MD played gritty football in the post season and finished very well. Hard not to lable some Trintiy fans as Pissy and whinny the way the make excuses or justify their own arrogance. You just can't stand being beat by the publics. Which is why Diablo fans just love playing the high and mighty Trinity...Bring it! Bosco will own the Trinity for along time...Olu going to cause alot of problems too!
Tommy - sorry you feel dirty, because infact you show real class by shining light when those who should be above reproach bear a false witness and try to slander a program. If you have a legit beef, you should expose it but to call out a public school for following public school directives and then trying to accuse them of something shameful is in itself...shameful.
Can't wait for next year, MV will have plenty of dudes to compete, after taking a look 5-6 280 plus guys and plenty of skills to pay the bills. Looking forward to Trimming some Trinity next season...
1. Since 2000, Mission Viejo has had only one subpar year (2007). From the standpoint of producing excellent teams year in and year out, they are probably the strongest program in Orange County.
2. Since 2000, the program has benefited more from top-quality, high-impact transfers than any other school in the county . . . by a wide margin.
3. In their 48 years of existence, the school has won five CIF football championships. In 1979 and 1981, they won the Central Division title by beating powerhouses El Dorado and Los Amigos. And in 2001, 2002 and 2004 they won the Division II title, one of which will be forever tainted in the eyes of many people.
4. They have made the playoffs in the Southern Section's top division 11 times. Their record in those playoffs is 11 wins and 11 losses, with only one championship game appearance.
