I'm guessing that SM fans didn't want to bother traveling to watch a boring blowout. In the recent past, the Trinity league games were fun and competitive (with the exception of the Bosco games which could be overlooked since it was one game) the rest of the league was a dogfight and the results absolutely determined who made the playoffs (not really the case this year.)watchersince68 wrote:Longtime
Are you saying even the team won't show up. Yeah your probably right wouldn't matter anyway.
PS Cerritos is a scary place it is way west of Cota de Caza.
Look at the predictions and point spreads this week, pretty uniform and mostly blowouts.
While any combination of Olu/Servite/JSerra/SM will be entertaining, only one Trinity League game this year will matter (and it won't be MD/Servite.)
dont be that guy
MD over OLU by 35. Monarchs roll again but OLU always seems to give MD a good game. Winning by 5 TDs will be a good game by this year's MD standards.
Servite over JSerra by 7. Any game not including Bosco or MD is tough to call since the difference in talent is not that great. These games actually come down to execution and coaching. Yes Hartigan is the better coach but I think Servite plays with a chip on their shoulder after being embarrased by Bosco. I'm going to coin a new term,.. Servite was 'Rutgers' by Bosco. Look up the Michigan/Rutgers box score to see what I mean.

Before the game was played there seemed to be some doubt that MD would steamroll a Trinity team, so I do not buy into the SM fans did not want to see a blowout. Plus from what I have heard the SM coaches were very confident coming into the game.
We continually see south county schools not supporting their teams if there is some difficulty to attend. The parents
of the team should be ashamed, period.
game at Angel stadium MD by far outdrew the Servite crowd. Last year Servite had its smallest crowd
for a MD game in a while. Looking at the game film from the Servite-Bosco game neither team drew
that well for an opening game between these two schools.
Bosco by 42 over SM
My heart picked the Friars to win last week, it's true, but my head checked back in this week.
J Serra 237.5 yds./game
Servite 233.8 yds./game
J Serra 136.8 yds./game
Servite 119.3 yds./game
Rushing yds. allowed:
J Serra 147.7 yds/game
Servite 147.5 yds./game
Passing yds. allowed:
J Serra 272.5 yds./game
Servite 131.8 yds./game
Jmumphrey, if you're out there, take heart. Servite wins this one by 10.
Mater Dei over Orange Lutheran 44-14. Could be a trap game.
JSerra over Servite 32-23. With Servite no longer looking like a destination school, is Scott Meyer's honeymoon period continuing to get shorter?
