OK Boys- Here we go for week #3. I'll go with the bolded teams:

LB Poly @ Mission Viejo- Mission should be fired up for this one. Well coached team vs. not so much
Edison @ San Juan Hills -Sticking with the Dave White farewell tour
San Clemente @ La Mirada-San Clemente just because
Tesoro @ El Toro-El Toro D just plain bad to date
Tustin@ Trabuco Hills-Tustin should run Trabuco onto the parking lot
Luca,I do get a guilty pleasure out of your posts, it is like watching a fat woman in the gym. Got to applaud the effort but have to remind myself to hide the laughs.

Glad to have helped. I think.
Someone said "Share and share a like." Not really sure who, but it was probably someone nice. Or a lawyer.

Mission Viejo v. LB Poly
Edison v SJ Hills
La Mirada v. San Clemente
Tesoro v El Toro (Can't pick against my boys, but if the defense doesn't give up another 42 points, maybe?)
Tustin v Trabuco Hills

Bold picks, no pun intended

MV/Poly..Poly is loaded with athletes but is so poorly coached MV will take this one
Edison/SJH.. Edison is pretty good and will pull away in the second half
La Mirada/SC..La Mirada is better than last week's score indicates. La Mirada by about 10
Tesoro/El Toro..Tesoro not very good, El Toro is worse. Tesoro takes it
Tustin/Trabuco Hills..Tustin's ground and pound runs away with it ( see what I did there )

Mission Viejo over Poly. I've seen both teams play and this is one of the weaker Poly team's I've seen. I don't think Mission Viejo will be able to air it out against these guys but they will play more disciplined with fewer turnovers and better fundamentals and wear down Poly. I don't think anybody's going to beat Mission Viejo until the playoffs start

La Mirada over San Clemente.. San Clemente is 2-1 with their only loss to Oceanside, which is still undefeated. La Mirada has been shut out in consecutive games versus Mater Dei and Bosco and has only scored 21 points on the season. But it is a big team with lot of expectations and they're probably a mite pissed by now. I stand a good chance of blowing this one.

Tesoro over El Toro.

Edison over San Juan Hills. San Juan has done nicely so far but they haven't played a team this good.

Tustin over Trabuco Hills. It cracks me up that Myron Miller is back with that goddamn doublewing. They both lost to Fullerton but it takes a while for a team to get used to running that offense and no opponent ever sees it more than once per season. It's hard to prepare for. I suspect Tustin is warming up and will wear down Trabuco............Luca

Luca,
With you seeing both MV and Poly, How do you compare LH (La Habra) vs Poly? Do they compare?
With LH playing a Los Al team who lost 27-20 to Poly, I'm curious on how LH might fare on friday night vs
the Griffins? Teams playing common opponents?

Sorry, hit, but I'm too unfamiliar with La Habra to have anything useful to say. Not that that's unusual

I know they've had individual outstanding players on a regular basis but I don't know what they have now.
I assume Poly will get quite a bit better from what I saw in the preseason scrimmage, but traditionally they are a team that has outstanding athletes on defense and an offense that relies on big plays and broken tackles. They've almost never been reliable ball controll team. If you can negate the individual athletes on their offense you'll always have a decent shot at them.

I don't know what's happened to that program. It's nowhere near as dominant as it used to be. Maybe Bosco has siphoned off some of their athletes.
But good luck. If La Habra can approach what it was 2 or 3 years ago they have a very good shot right now.....................Luca

Mission Viejo over Long Beach Poly by 20. Antonio Pierce will prove that playing on a Super Bowl champion and in a Pro Bowl doesn’t necessarily prepare you to coach against a guy with over 300 wins.
La Mirada over San Clemente by 21. I still think La Mirada is a pretty good football team.
Edison over San Juan Hills by 13. The Chargers are on a mission to win for Dave White, at least until next week.
Tesoro over El Toro by 21.
Tustin over Trabuco Hills by 10.

Mission over Poly but I think it will be closer than people think, speed kills especially on ST - MV kicker can't kick it in the end zone (touchback)!

La Mirada over San Clemente, tough road game for SC

Edison over San Juan Hills tough game on the road for Edison but they get the win

Tesoro over El Toro big by 3 TDs +

Trabuco Hills over Tustin coin toss, so I will go with the home team
