SJH vs. Capo - SJH changing that pick. Got an interesting bit of inside info. No more edit feature?

Mission Viejo over La Habra. Probably the most interesting game of the night

San Clemente over Roosevelt.

Trabuco Hills over Fountain Valley

Tesoro over Huntington Beach. And it shouldn't be that close

I don't know. I think I'll go with San Juan Hills because I can't remember the last time Capistrano Valley won three in a row................................Luca

I had no idea what a pain this was going to be when I started this thread. Like I've got the time for this.

Anyway, after three weeks the standings are as follows:

Leading the pack at 13 – 2 we have playthegame. Now that the pressure is on a we'll see if the man folds like the proverbial tent.

Close behind at 12 – 3 are
NJtoNYtoSOC
thebull (blew the potential lead by going with Capo last week. Clutch choice.)
Dan Patrick
Johnny Utah
Bringntheheat

11 – 4
Luca
Sir Charles
Professor Fate

10 – 5
Tommy Trojan
Playingtime
Templar 83
Joefootball

10 – 4
Hit the Lights (you need to make five choices per week there, my friend)

10.5 – 4.5*
2002 Tony (given a courtesy half-point for going with Trabuco after the game had been played)

7-3
Redbulls (no week 2 picks)

9-6
MDDad (ostentatiously giving pointspreads when he can only pick the actual winner 60% of the time)

8-7
Number9 (what, are you just flipping a coin?)

6-4
Bick (no week 2 picks)

5-5
NOSEGUARD75 (no week 2 picks)

3-2
Jack of Spades (no week 0 or 2 picks)

0-0
Kingspeed (flakes out completely)

In order to keep this close and avoid dropouts, anybody who wants to join now can and will be given 2.5 wins per week even if they didn't make any choices. I understand that this is unfair to posters like MDDad who can barely hit 50% under the best of circumstances but it's the best way to keep players in the game and get more to join..........................Management

Yes, it's a royal pain in the ass to go through and figure out the standings. We should self report our scores to make it easier.

I've never been good at picking minor league baseball winners either. What can I say, I'm a Trinity guy.

Luca - apologies for the cryptic pick(s) this past week. By saying sjh was the only close game, intention was the rest were chalk picks. Also didn't realize this was a year long deal. No need to adjust my total. Just wanted to say it's pretty neat you're doing this for everyone...thanks!

Perhaps an online class on time management could help.

Jeez, I'm supposed to be able to interpret these things? I don't know what a "chalk pick" is, either. I gather you're saying that you picked all the South Coast teams as winners. Fine. I've corrected the standings to give you a 5-0 week which brings you up to 11 – 4.

Just to review the rules, everyone, remember they are not that complicated. Prior to the start of the games you have to choose the winner of each of the five South Coast teams. By name. Before game time...........Luca

Luca, in my six losses I'm a little surprised that you didn't pick up on the fact that my picks were facetious and I really meant the other teams would win. Please update my season total to 15-0.

This is referred to as the "Joefootball gambit" and it was tried last year without success. Your current record indicates you would have about as much success picking the winners out of a hat. But I'll give you a helpful tip: El Toro looks like a lock against Tesoro. Just keep it between you and me.....................Luca
