2010 or 2012 at Tesoro, MV was down at halftime and had a big 2nd half to go ahead. With the game well over, BJ threw it in the end zone in the final seconds. Many of us thought MV would take a knee, but no. I believe it was 2012 Ian Fieber was the QB, but I wanna say Hunter Bland threw the TD in the final seconds. If my memory serves me correctly, it was the game Tesoro took a delay of game penalty to start the game...didn't come out of the locker room for the kickoff to try and ice MV. It gets cold in that snake pit!

I remember Bland ( or who ever was the backup QB in the game) throwing the the ball for a TD....late with about 15 sec to go I was thinking the time was or it could have been the last play of the game, I know it was late, but, he never faked like he was going to take a knee nor did Mission ever get into the victory position......they were just going to let the 2nd team try to score on the first team D of Tesoro since they didnt sub out like Mission did...that was in 2012...

but to add to that - that was fat boy Brian Barns last year

in 2013 with a new head coach Matt Poston...with Mission on the Tesoro 2 or 3 yard line, with 1:25 or less ( something close to that ) left in the game, Mission took 2 or 3 knees to end the game. Marking what we had hoped for an end to that hatchet between the two schools ( which was really between the two head coaches) and ended with Barns departure. Both teams and schools dont have to like each other, but you should always win with class and respect for the other team...

Yup, that's the way it should be.

I walked out at halftime but I suspect Mission took its foot off the pedal against Santa Margarita in this year's opener. They had been up by about four or five scores at the half but it ended up only about three scores...........Luca

MV by 28,
so hard to pick how many points when i think the Mission 2nd team will play most of the 2nd half against Tesoro first team. Mission goes up by 35 and then gives up 2 TD over the 2nd team but the 2nd team gets one back themselves...leaving it at 28 point victory with less then 1/2 the crowd left

My bad Luca. My friend asked me what I gave for a spread, and I just remembered and sighed, "damn". Next week....

Luca,I do get a guilty pleasure out of your posts, it is like watching a fat woman in the gym. Got to applaud the effort but have to remind myself to hide the laughs.
