2006-Total slugfest. Mater Dei survives thanks to (2) missed field goal attempts. What a thriller! My first MD-Servite game.

2007- Matt Barkley puts on a clinic on why he was the Gatorade player of the year. The Barkley Abbott connection is probably one of my favorite plays of all time.

2008- Another battle. Both teams tied going into the half. Pretty much a stalemate. Mater Dei adjusts at half time, Servite does not. Mater Dei pulls ahead to win decisively

2009-Servite finally snaps the streak!

2010-Servite wins again (but a much closer game)

The 60's were a great time for the rivalry, even though MD was 7-1-1. The games were all close except for 1966 that MD won 36-6.

'69 MD by 1

Of course I love the 70s and 80s when Servite won 13 out of 20, and actually had the lead in the series for one whole year (14-13-1 after the '88 game). Most of those games were competitive also.

being the yearbook photographer.

I was 10 years old and went to the 64' game when Servite shut out MD 13-0. I think MD had not allowed a score until then. It still hurts, only the league champ went to the playoffs that year.

Yes and for years after. MD would always finish 2nd usually to St Paul and then they would accepted 2 from the Angelus league and along came Amat with Haden and McKay and we finished 3rd.

And that's the game that Rollo can't forget. That's why he hates Servite so much. I believe he was a sophomore on that team. Those were the only points allowed by MD the entire year.

Servite coaching staff is totally clueless, else why would they use the exact same game plan against MD as they did for every other TL opponent? What is the definition of insanity?
Why does Servite go no-huddle of they don't play hurry up? And why not call more than one play per sideline look? Do they ever vary the snap count? Little things that further enhance the perceived cluelessness of the coaching staff.
