I guess its a private school, parochial school thing, in which at their sports events, is they have tons of Alumni in the seats, stands, much more than public schools.

also, I believe next year marks the 70th anniversary of MD's founding, I believe before Gary McKnight and Rollo became HC's in their respective sports at the school, MD had an average sports program right? it definetley didn't have the national reputation that it got before Rollo and McKnight arrived, so in the first 30 plus years of the schools existance, its athletic program was just average prior to Rollo and McKnight arriving.

There's this thing called the internet, it's great for researching things so you don't make silly statements like this

Here's a good place to start:

https://www.materdeifootball.net/histor ... me-record/

You'll find that from 1955-1966 the Mater Dei football team went 118-11-5, won 10 league titles and 4 CIF championships

Mater Dei is terrible and all the alumni are annoying.

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

WantTheNFLBack714 don't forget Bob Ickes with 17 league championships and a cif championship. 416 wins in 25 years and would have had many more if he had wanted to stay for a while longer. :notworthy:

I know that Stanley Johnson is MD's longest lasting NBA player ever, I know I haven't asked this question yet, I wonder, who is MD's longest lasting NFL player? is it Matt Barkley or someone else?

Probably John Huarte, 8/9 years in the NFL with several teams, was a starter about 40% of the time, fyi

oh nice, awesome, I wonder if Matt Barkley will last longer than him, and I wonder how many members of the 2017 MD team will make it to the NFL.
