Los Al’s side was embarrassingly empty for a league title home game. Next year Davidson Field will be packed for our home game.

Let the game carry on.

CDM sells out? Wow, never seen it, but this their first year in Sunset. Maybe the rest of the CDM community is use to PCL, where the game is over at the end of one. Hopefully word gets out tonight that CDM will play four quarter game......

Not every game can be the Battle of the Bay! CDM doesn’t enroll enough students to sell out.... ROFL

They don't travel real well. I think Newport had 2x the people in the stands last Friday at Cerritos. Probably because it's a shorter drive for them.

A couple CDM plays I saw tonight on the field were not huge plays, but I appreciated nonetheless. Schlom running up to catch punts in the air v. letting them bounce ala Odell ($15 million / yr) Beckham. The other was Redman running a 5 yd route on 3rd down when he needed 4. Those millionaire WR's in the NFL don't seem capable of figuring out where the sticks are, and run routes a yd short. CDM clearly well coached in that regard.

Wow. Bitter much? Disgruntled Giants fan? Or just tsking shots at a Odell as if HS and college kids don’t have those same issues every fall weekend? I think CDM and others are well coached but they make mistakes just like any other human being.

Gee whiz, enough with the the parking already. Do you need me to reimburse you guys or carry you the 50-100 yards back to your car? Plus it’s off topic. As is the never ending rant on enrollment. It’s absurd SK80.

BTW, if I’m Los Al, I am playing that game early so it’s in the rain if at all possible. Stupid to play later in the day if they can avoid it.

The few CDM fans that make the long trip up the 73 to the 405 are going to really complain about the one way in/one way out into LA’s field,,,,welcome to the pain CDM, you asked for it!

Nope - just giving credit where it's due, and appreciating good play when I see it.

Why would Los Al want to play in the rain? The fumbled snap in the light drizzle gave CDM a short 20 yd field for their only points.

Drives me nuts at the NFL level.

LAHS is one lane in / one lane out. Better to park in front of the school or on the street.

Didn’t realize that happened. SK80 and Newspreps made it sound like Humphries was catching bombs up and down the field. Figured the rain might slow their passing game down and help Los Al since they run the ball primarily.

Bad enough they had to walk an extra 50 yards tonight, imagine what thay’ll say when you have them walk 300 yards to the street!

BBB ur assessment is generally correct. CDMs big plays most likely come from the passing game which would be hindered in any rain storm game.

Two years in the CIF Final at Sierra Canyon if anyone remembers was that huge wind storm event with 60 mile an hour winds at game time. CDM was the pass strong team and Sierra Canyon the running.

I thought about this a lot last week when Breese past up guys like Favre in all time pass yardage. Breese throws indoors in perfect climate conditions. Favre throws a frozen ball on an icy tundra. Weather is another layer to the game.

From CDM Twitter:

CDM Football
@CDMFOOTBALL
12:30am on a Friday night....
Still no mutually agreed upon date, time, or location for the Los Al vs CDM football game to resume....
AD’s on both sides are trying to navigate a myriad of conflicts on Saturday 10/13 for both.
Players, coaches, fans still waiting....
Wild night !

Some cool photos from tonight. I think the 100 on the CDM side was generous.

I thought the home team had to secure the venue. Lots of teams are playing in the afternoon. What's there to agree to?
