Re: The Booty's move on...
I was sure Booty wouldn't go to Servite because of how far away it was...and then he ends up going quite a bit farther.

Interesting update on our boy Booty. Sounds like Texas didn't work out either...

Re: The Booty's move on...
I guess the grass wasn't greener. Hats off to Garbers for staying loyal to his local school. I heard rumors that he was thinking of transferring (I have no idea if there was truth to them). But, he stayed loyal, worked harder and it payed off. He had a monster year and is now a committed Huskie... All while playing with the kids he grew up with. What a great example to follow. In this era of transfer, transfer, transfer it's refreshing to see kids showing character and loyalty. CDM, Edison, Tesoro, Capo, etc. have seemed to do just fine over the past few years of transfurus maximus without being a revolving door. Nice to see...

I feel for the General here. He is clearly tied to the decisions that his father and grandfather make, starting with Sage Hill. He would have been better off staying at CDM and competing. Now he's following the Titus Toler route and off to his third school in three years. Who knows, perhaps he'll show back up in Southern California?
Re: The Booty's move on...
@TDrake, rumors were valid as there was no way two great QB's could stay on at the same school. Booty being 1 year behind him was either going to win the job, thus forcing Garbers to head to another school.
It was kinda a tough time for CDM as the Garber Family is CDM Football. Most thought Booty would win the job. I was one of the few in the minority. Kids develop at different rates. Ethan had a year on the General. It really came down to when there was this notion the Booty family wanted coaching and football decision powers at CDM. If you know O' Shea that would be a definite no way!
And yes, hats off to coach O' Shea for building a program that would not have kids like Garbers, Redman and Humphrys leave, giving them plenty of reason to stay. These guys have Washington, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, LSU, Alabama just to name a few with offers, and yes Garbers just made an early commit to the Huskies.

If I hear any Booty news around I'll post it.

Re: The Booty's move on...
Anyone have any update on Booty to JSerra? I've been working the the back channels and it's really hush hush.
Re: The Booty's move on...
He will have a top-level offensive line and ground game (Chris Street). Question is who will be his WR's? Both Luckett and McClain left for the Pac-12....

This is an upgrade to what Jserra already had at QB. But not a huge upgrade. Booty completed 59% of his passes 19 TDs, 6 Ints. Alot of his highlights are fades and balls he floated out there for the receiver. He does have nice touch on his passes. Didn't see alot of reading and going through progression.

Huge upgrade in my opinion. JSerra has some talent. But as others mentioned, they took a hit in the WR position.
Re: The Booty's move on...
Indeed they did, however by the summer look for them to address that issue. They're going to be tough bunch by the time Fall rolls around....
