Bosco gets ball first in 2nd half after having scored on 4 straight drives. Holani pounds dive, then Holani tackled by Jack Lenthall for loss, Holani pounds dive for five and first down. Savage in for a couple plays. Literally the simplest offensive play calling possible: dive, dive, mix in play action, TD.

DJ tries to hit midseason waiver wire pickup Bo Collins from Notre Dame High on 3rd and short, incomplete. Maybe Negro is point shaving, because they could have ran the dive 8 straight times and scored again, easily. Bosco punts, 8:30 left in 3Q

On 3rd down Tripp Mitchell, also missing Oaks top WR Bryce Ferrell out with injury, sees no one open, scrambles and makes Lytle and Goforth RUN INTO EACH OTHER, picks up first down. Then looks down sideline for #19, Trent McDuffie gets away with blatant holding ... I mean ... more lockdown Bosco coverage. Incomplete. On 3rd down Tripp Mitchell takes a sack from the 20 all the way back to the 1. Wow. Tripp trips over his own feet, turf monster, sniper.

Bosco’s sophomore McDuffie, Trent’s little brother Jode (also a Servite transfer?) catches wobbly punt over his shoulder and takes it back inside the 10 as Bosco coaches do the Lane Kiffin early touchdown celebration. Penalty prone Bosco clipped or held or both, moved back to the 25.

Not sure what happened to the feed. Braves scored to make it 42-10, get the ball back with about 3:30 left 3Q, at their own 25. DJ scrambles toward the sideline, inexplicably stops a yard short of the white, gets popped by OC LB, Bosco sideline cries and woofs about it.

Then DJ loads up the ship cannon again from the pocket with Bosco at the 30 yd line and hits Notre Dame free agent pickup Bo Collins with a LASER at about the 50, Collins runs past the Oaks secondary for a 70 yard TD, DJs 6th pass TD. Braves have 430 yds in 3 quarters. 49-10 Bosco.

Not sure it’s a good thing for Bosco to have played 3 walkovers in the playoffs on the way to the ‘ship, but it probably won’t matter. They just showed a Bosco sideline pass holder showing Negro the Mater Dei CC score on his phone after the extra point LOL.

Bosco street free agent Junior Gafa from San Pedro High with another tackle for loss. Bosco getting great play from extra guys they added to the roster midseason that they don’t even need. Playing teams with kids going both ways LOL.

3rd down sack by Cole Aubrey leads to punt. Uiagalelei again still in up 39 points in the 4th quarter. Classy. Holani gets about 5-6 carries on a 4 minute 70 yard drive, runs it in from about 30. 56-10 Bosco. About 7m left. Maybe they’ll take the starters out now? Maybe.

Bosco has 8 TD drives and 1 punt, 1 INT. Oaks has 1 TD drive, 5 punts and 2 TOD. These playoffs have been so easy for Bosco it’s silly.

Defensive starters for Bosco are ALL still in game. Hmmmm. They nearly pay a price as Jon Jon Vaughns hits an Oaks WR in the flat with a VICIOUS helmet to helmet targeting shot; somehow not kicked out of the game. Cole Aubrey picks up 2 more sacks as Oaks OL has basically turned in their gear already. Oaks waves the white flag and punts. Good season fellas.

Bosco offense starters FINALLY out of the game. Well, most of them. Gotta “get those reps in” right? Time runs out. Bosco wins it. The 450 members of #BraveNation that made it safely through LAPD territory up in Simi Valley give a standing ovation for another Bosco road win in a nail biter, 56-10.

Final Whistle at 9:08pm, running clock went even faster than I thought.

No issue with the starters staying in vs. the #13 team in the nation on the road in the Division I semi-finals.

Weak argument. Up 35 late in the fourth, you would think they would play the handfullof full tuition paying senior “real high school football type” players on the roster. No?

No those kids had plenty of time in the Servite game. Unlike that game this one mattered.

They were up 39 late in the fourth on a running clock. Apperently that counts as a part of the game “that matters.”

Kept every single starter in. But it was the “#13 team in the nation,” never mind they were minus 2 of their best players including the top recruit in the nation and their best WR. So yeah, run that scoreboard up baby. Hey give Bosco credit: they earned the right to embarrass people’s kids. If you can take an already hobbled man down, you gotta step on his neck and spit on him too! Life lessons!! LOL.

Negro and Lo obviously taking no chances with the style points. Gotta make that box score look good for USA Today and Maxpreps, sportsmanship be damned!! :bonk:

Answer: He!! NO. Another Bosco v MD rematch at Cerritos next weekend. Don’t eat too many leftovers.

Totally. How many points were scored in the 4th quarter again?

What's interesting about all the angst toward the schools that recruit well, is the failure to support the fact the kids and families are doing what they believe is in their best interests. The issue isn't whether or not an outsider likes the way the programs are run, but how those kids who go there feel about it. I think if a kid who would start at nearly every other HS, would prefer riding the bench at a higher profile school instead, it's no one's place to be critical of that choice.

Given the two choices, I would think most would rather play, but who am I to be critical of those who disagree?

After matching Ricks from MD do what he did to CC, WOW!! Not only vs a great player but a good team. He has the size and speed to be the # 1 DB in the nation! The dline for CC WAS LEGIT TOO!
Did Justin Flowe play against Calabasas? Upland looking strong!
St John Bosco has the better team but it is hard to beat the same team twice. Im sure it will be much closer.
CDM looks to win another Title.
Tough losses for Capo Valley vs a very good Cajon team, Manning is excellent! Same goes for Villa Park in a heart breaker OT loss. Great run, sad to see it end that way.
Wow, Brea Olinda going to the finals??? Nice job Wildcats!
Once the finals and state are said and done, what will the offseason bring? Who transfers out and who transfers in?
Better make sure all that paper work is up to date, and kids are not 18 for their freshman year.
Good luck to all in the finals. Especially to the best teams money can buy. :bonk:

CDM will have trouble with Grace. 230 pound RB and beastly line.
