Well that debate is ended. Allen lost tonight 42-35 in the semis. MD now will be consensus #1

Bryce Harper signed with Mater Dei for $325M plus a shaving kit, Trevor Ariza was traded to Gary McKnight in exchange for 10 Hail Marys, some rosary beads and 3 draft beers to be named later, and LeVeon Bell is transferring to MD in time for the spring semester - no 5 game sit out ...

ya it's gonna be salt in the wound for the MD haters, I imagine Servite fans are very upset as well, the obvious reason because of the MD-Servite historical rivalry, and also because, because even during the glory years of the Troy Thomas era at Servite(yes I know he's back now), i'm referring to his first tenure as Head Coach, and when Servite had very good teams in the early 80's, Servite never finished the season number 1 in the nation before. That's something MD can always rub in Servite supporters faces, it's like a certain NFL team fans making fun of another team because they still have never won a Super Bowl before. The was the case with the Eagles-Cowboys rivalry for a while, but now that the Eagles have finally won a Super Bowl(still remember how happy I was when they beat the hated Patriots).

I believe Loyola HS from L.A., is the only other team to have won a National title before, finish the season number 1 in the Nation, besides MD, as far as L.A.-O.C. teams, which Loyola did in 1975.

but ya, it's gonna be scary because MD also has a very good chance at having a 3-peat of national titles, because of the amount of talent MD is returning for next year.

Don’t forget 16-0 state bowl champion Bosco 2013 finished #1 in the MaxPreps computer poll.

Miami Booker T Washington won the majority of the national poll titles that year (Allen TX took the HSFB America poll), and that MaxPreps computer poll was the only one of the 6 major polls (at the time) that SJB topped, but they definitely still claim it ... with a funky continental map banner in the hoops gym and some awesome new stadium signage to boot. And why wouldn’t they? They earned it.

MD SHOULD be number#1 in the USAToday poll on Monday - I can't see any of the other two Texas
teams jumping to number#1 whoever wins the game next weekend - MD could actually finish unanimous national number#1 again!

the reason why I did not include the 2013 Bosco team, is because they didn't finish number 1 in majority of the polls, and more importantly, on Wikipedia, which has the list of High School Football National Champions from each year, Bosco is not listed at all for 2013, instead, it's Booker T. Washington HS for 2013, here is the link:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Scho ... ns_by_year

Here are the 2013 "national champions":

Massey Ratings - St. John Bosco
Calpreps and Maxpreps Computer Ratings - St. John Bosco
High School Football America - Allen
USA Today - Booker T. Washington
Prep Nation - Booker T. Washington

I couldn't find the Prep Force or Maxpreps Human Rankings for that year.

The updated High school football America poll has moved North Shore to #2. If they beat a highly ranked Duncanville for the Texas state championship, they could crown North Shore #1.

The same is true of the Maxpreps human poll. The two Texas schools have moved up to #2 and #3 in their rankings. It's highly likely that the winner of that game will be Maxpreps' national champions, despite having played a very weak schedule.

Just like in the college football playoff these human driven polls are not going to allow a two loss team, in spite of a blowout forfeit being one of the losses, be national champion.

Strength of schedule goes to MD. But I predict if North Shore blows out Duncanville they be ranked #1 in one or more HS polls

Here are the teams North Shore has played, and the Orange County school with most similar power rating.

Katy = Mission Viejo
Ridge Point = San Juan Hills
Westfield = Servite
LaPorte = Newport Harbor
King = St. Margaret's
Deer Park = Santa Ana
Sterling = Fullerton
West Brook = Servite
Beaumont United = Segerstrom
Channelview = El Toro
Dobie = Valencia (Placentia)
Dickinson = Los Alamitos
Katy = Mission Viejo
Cy-Fair = Servite
Lake Travis = Corona del Mar

If that quality of opponents is the ticket to a national championship, man, we've been following the wrong scheduling strategy.

I'm stumped. CalPreps shows three undefeated teams in Texas' 6A division. Duncanville (14-0), North Shore (15-0), and Longview (15-0). How is that possible if 6A is already in the finals?

Professor in Texas 6A there is a division 1 which NS and Duncanville are in. Longview is 6A division 2.

I guess that Wikipedia link must be inaccurate, because according to that, DLS has not won a National Title since the 2003 season.
